“An excellent few days break at Cockleshell Cottage.”

Cockleshell Cottage is beautiful. Well kept, clean and very comfortable. Sue, the owner is easy going and extremely thoughtful. We arrived to a lovely meal ready to put in the oven that evening (very unexpected) and a rack of wine from which we could trustingly use a bottle and replace it. The same with a shelf full of books. Breakfast on the patio which is right on the sea wall, is delightful. The view from the cottage to St. Michael's Mount is outstanding. So is across the bay at night, to towns lit up. No need for a television. Can't wait to go back.

“What a lovely place to stay.”
Reviewed October 12, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Cockleshell Cottage was a lovely place to stay. Everyone raves about the views from there and each statement is true. To look out of the upstairs lounge large wall windows, or sit on the patio with a drink in your hand as to be moments to treasure and put away in the memory bank. The house is beautifully furbished with every modern appliance you could wish for. There is a wonderful bathroom with a jacuzzie and a large rain fall shower , a four poster bad, and a complete library of books and music to cover anyone's tastes. A complete rack of wine was there for you to use on trust ( take one out one back)!!
There was lovely surprises of a dinner prepared and ready to cook when you arrived, not to mention the cream tea to take home with you.
As if that was not enough, we met the owner Sue who brought us a little gift on our wedding anniversary that happened to fall on the Thursday of that week.......how nice was that? and much appreciated. Our neighbours too were a delight and asked us in to share a drink, and even gave my husband a red rose from their beautiful flowers to give to me.

I often stayed at "home" and read, wrapped up in the soft cuddly white dressing gown provided, while my husband walk part of the coastal path. In the evenings we had a wander to the local inns but the highlight has to be a visit to Bens Cornish Kitchen. A superb meal there and the magician in the kitchen was a wizard at using different herbs and spices to make the delectable meals we tried.
Go and visit Cockleshells, you will not be disappointed, it has to be the best self catering cottage we have ever stayed in!!

Liked best: Obviously the views and the overall perfect condition of Cockleshells
Liked least: The stairs, but that is because I am getting older and need to look for something all on one level.

We arrived in a dreamhouse ! A place you allways want to return once you have been there ! In a rather busy place (Marazion) you arrive in a cottage where you only hear the seagulls and the sea - the views you can look at all day, every day - a great personnal meal is waiting for you - Sue the hostess foresees everything - even flowers, and cream tea ! We hope to be back !

“Amazing Holiday Rental”

Wow, the best holiday rental, that we have ever had!!! The property is of a very high standard and everything you could need is provided. Lots of nice touches, like slippers and dressing gowns being provided and a meal waiting in the fridge on arrival, which was excellent. But the best thing is the view. When we saw the photos it looked amazing, but nothing could have prepared us for the view as you walk up the stairs,it is breathtaking. A lovely patio area, where we sat and ate breakfast each morning, with a stunning view of St Michael's Mount. We didn't want to leave and we would highly recommend this property.

Best views in Cornwall, you can see the ocean from your bed! Delicious meal , essentials and treats left for us on arrival, really kind touch. High class with all your home comforts, what more could you ask for? Very clean, and I wanted to take the rain power shower home with me!! My mother-in-law wants to book for September too!
Thank you for a fabulous week in the sun :)

“A Wonderful Holiday in a Beautiful Location”

This is a wonderful property. It is well maintained, the location is the best and you will never find a better view. The pictures are exactly as shown, and you really wake up everyday feeling like you are on a tropical island vacation. It has a great shower and separate spa tub. Easy walk into town and you can watch the water level across the causeway to St. Michael Mont so there is no waiting. Extra specials await you when you arrive and before you leave - don't hesitate to book this cottage.

“Brilliant holiday cottage”

Just to say we had a wonderful three weeks holiday at Cockleshell Cottage. Sue & Simon certainly know how to make your stay wonderful.
Attention to detail and everything you could possibly want for a February holiday, cosy bath robes, slippers and wow, underfloor heating in the super bathroom!!
The lovely meal and goodies on arrival was very thoughtful, also the Cornish cream tea on our departure was very much appreciated.
The views from the cottage are spectacular and we were very lucky to have quite a few beautiful sunrise's and sunset's.
I personally sat outside on tthe clear nights just watching the star's and listening to the waves crashing on the rocks, it was perfect.
Unfortunately the spell was broken and we had to come back home and to reality. At least we have been lucky enough to have found this wonderful gem of a cottage and can't wait to go back.
Sue & Simon - if I ever win the lottery are you open to offer's for Cockleshell and Rolling Surf?
