Description: Food served throughout the day Eating at the Godolphin Arms is a relaxed and informal affair and we offer an all-day menu to be enjoyed whatever the occasion or mood. Our food philosophy is simple; we want to provide freshly cooked food that tastes delicious, is beautifully presented and showcases the quality and seasonality of local Cornish produce. From hearty Cornish breakfasts to relaxed lunches and intimate dinners, our menu is inspired by living and working by the sea and produce grown and farmed locally. Fresh daily bakes of the most delicious desserts and cakes are also offered up, to be enjoyed alongside the perfect cappuccino or latte. Where to eat? Lots of natural, light bathed and restful spaces - all with far-reaching views out over Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. Sit in the glass and zinc extension, with doors that open out for al fresco dining during the summer months. Celebrate with family or friends around the intimate Captain's Table that seats 9. On the lower deck, walk straight in off the beach to the colourful and chilled-out beach bar and dining area. Outside, the beach terrace remains a place to linger, absorb the astonishing views and simply watch the world go by.

The staff here are just so friendly and helpful and the food is fresh and tasty. It's also a great coffee stop if you find yourself here either side of lunchtime.

Wanted somewhere to eat on the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend at the end of May. Just walked in and despite it being very busy they found a table for us. Had to wait until the carvery opened at 6pm but it was worth the wait. This was one of the best carverys we have had. It was also the hottest as normally everything is lukewarm wherever we go. Perhaps it did help that we were the first in the queue and everything had just been laid out. As it was busy the staff did seem a little flustered at times but that didn't affect us as we could get our own meal.

A great leisurely lunch after a visit to the Mount. Well looked after, even had dog biscuits for Edward one of our friends dog. Good food and very thoughtful service.

I booked the Godolphin Arms for my mum's surprise 70th birthday as it has fantastic views to St Michaels Mount and is situated on the beach. Robin and his team were amazing! I was very impressed by the quality of the buffet food and at £10.95 a head was brilliant value. We hastily dropped off all the banners etc and the staff very kindly took care of everything, including the blowing up of lots of balloons! The customer service is excellent and if I do her 80th would certainly go back here!

Had a glass of merlot which is our favourite. However this tasted like very cheap merlot. Atmosphere seemed more like a cafe. Had the cheese platter - very very average. Just come back from a holiday in Mykonos and we have eaten out twice since we have been back. Both places have not been a patch on our holiday experiences . Why can't Britain have the same standards. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Really sorry we failed to meet your expectations. Our house merlot at £13.95 a bottle is recognised by our customers as good value and in 3 years of being on sale, yours is the first complaint about its quality. Likewise with the cheese palter, which offers 3 local cheeses for sharing at £7.95, is recognised as good value and again we have not received any comments on its quality. As someone who like you travels to Europe, we admire their professionalism and training and that is why we are investing over a million pounds in the Godolphin Arms to create a first class environment, but also entering a partnership with a local college to be able to train our staff to the levels seen throughout Europe. We will re-open Easter 2014 and hope you will visit and give us a second chance.
