we were met by the owners who were very nice and helpful, they gave us a guided tour of the property and then left us to get on with our holiday, but they were always on hand if we needed them, the cottage was exactly how its described on the web, the directions they give us on how to get there are brill, straight to the door.
the cottage is home from home, and the views are fantastic, Marazion its self is a beautiful village with some great places to eat, if you want a quite place to chill but close to the sight of cornwall its the place to stay, we will be going back and for 2 weeks next time

We had a lovely week at cudden view cottage. The cottage was a well maintained and clean place to stay, quite local to everywhere and fantastic places to eat within walking distance. The owners are welcoming and friendly and we will definitely be returning!!
We would like to thank Richard and Sarah for a wonderful week.

The two properties here are set down a quiet lane, a refreshing quality in the popular market town. It's a rare find to come across a property in Marazion with ample parking right outside the front door. Many local residents and tourists alike have to walk hundreds of yards to their vehicles.
Castle View sleeps 4 people comfortably and is set up in a reverse order, i.e the living room etc are upstairs whilst the bedrooms are downstairs. This setup works fantastically well as the views from this property are simply phenomenal and unspoilt. From the living room there are french doors leading out into a wonderful little garden with a nice range of flowers and plants. Due to its location, it enjoys the evening sun so long evenings in the garden are simply a must and made even better with the BBQ that is provided! Literally everything you need is provided (and more) and the cleanliness and cosyness is impeccable
The properties are in a fantastic location and suit everyone's needs. Whether that be a stroll to the infamous St Michael's Mount (only a 5 minute walk or just a glance out of the window), a trip to the popular St Ives or if you're feeling like heavily sightseeing, the properties here are served by a fantastic bus service (Early until up to 1AM!) with the nearest bus stop literally outside the back gate.
Cudden View (which sleeps 2) is exactly the same in the way of it's setup, i.e reverse living which also makes the very best of the panoramic views you can see from the windows and the large private balcony.
The properties here can be enjoyed ALL year round.
All in all, both properties here are fantastic. Not just in value, location or appearance but the couple who own the property are very genuine, friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend Jericho Cottages.

We recently stayed in Marazion for a week and had a lovely time. The town itself is small and relatively quiet so makes for a very relaxing holiday if you want an alternative to the bigger towns and cities. It also has great bus connections so if you want to see more of Cornwall without your car (highly recommended!) then you shouldn't have much trouble here. Buses run until midnight from, for example, St Ives, so if you want to have a nice dinner out without paying a fortune for taxi's, it's very easy.
The town is busy during the day, packed with tourists, but with beautiful beaches and views you shouldn't let that put you off. It's small enough to walk around anyway so you needn't worry about parking. For eating out I would recommend the Fire Engine Inn - great food, not very expensive and very friendly staff and locals too! The fish and chip shop on the high street is good as well.
We stayed in a cottage called Cudden View, owned privately by a couple who also own others, all under the name of Jericho Cottages (just search on this to find them). It was very clean, nicely furnished and with amazing views over the sea and the coast. The bathroom was also lovely with a good shower and fantastic corner bath - perfect for relaxing with a nice glass of wine after a day's touring or walking! The cottage is also incredibly well priced, coming in much cheaper than others, especially given the location.
And if you do decide to make use of the bus service then a week's family ticket (also for two adults) is £47. Get the 300 bus if you do this as it's well worth the trip to see all of the Penwith Peninsula.
So - recommend Marazion and definitely recommend Cudden View cottage. A wonderful base for exploring Cornwall whether by car, bus or train.
