“First time visitor, not for the last time though.”
Reviewed September 16, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

I understood that Artists Cottage Marazion was going to be quirky and boy did it live up to that. Shabby chique throughout which surprised me every time I walked through the door. Having said that the appliances were all pretty up to date, just cunningly disguised. No doubt everyone has mentioned the view, that is what sells the cottage after all, and the shower which has the best water pressure I have ever experienced. Marazion is nicely situated for visiting all that the far south west has to offer and I thoroughly recommend it. We visited many places but the stand outs were St. Ives and The Minack Theatre, both with easy reach. Cornish pasties and cream teas. Lovely.

“The views are spectacular, even our dog was mesmerized”
Reviewed August 29, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Spectacular views of St Micheal's Mount and the coast from the living room and even better from the bottom of the hidden garden. The walks nearby I exceptional and I would recommend the stay on this alone. There is a great national trust coastal path just up the road, that takes you all the way to Praa Sands, possibly further, well worth the effort, especially if you have a dog.

“Excellent value rental”
Reviewed September 6, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Perfect holiday cottage with superb views and all facilities provided including private off road parking place (gold dust in Marazion) washing machine and tumble drier and that perfect view from cottage and at end of garden. One drawback is the beach is a good trek away

I came here to dream and write,
My new home it was so bright,
Everything here just felt so right,
Writing a story was my fantasy,
Instead i felt moved to create loving poetry,
Sharing my heart & showing others a white light

“Charming cottage and lovely views and very well equipped, but too small for 6 adults”

The cottage was a wonderfully unique place to stay, and convenient for walks. Everything was individually and ingeniously designed to fit the spaces ( it should feature on the small spaces design programme. ) However with 6 adults it was uncomfortably small and I think the price is a lot given that it feels a bit like camping at times. The upper bedroom had an uncomfortably low ceiling which meant being bent double most of the time., in order to avoid hitting your back or head and has no mirror and little storage. The kitchen area was very tiny and there was very little room to eat at the table which made mealtimes uncomfortable. The dishwasher was great, but not all pans could go into it so washing up was tricky, because the space didn't allow for drainage.. None of the bedrooms were big enough to allow both people out of bed at the sides because the beds, though very comfortable ttook up the entire room.; clambering over a sleeping partner was very difficult for the more elderly members of the party. The shower area was great. The welcome pack and flowers were wonderful. This should be advertised for four adults max and maybe two children as long as they can cope with the very steep stairs. The little lookout garden was wonderful. Overall some great features, but not an easy or comfortable stay, hence only 3 stars.
