A sunny day and we were able to walk the causeway to and from St Michael's Mount thus missing the tides. We agree with most of the previous reviews, you need good lungs and walking shoes to reach the top! Well worth a visit, Cornish Pasty good too :) Lovely gardens and views.

Such a magical place, it was rising out of the heat haze when we went, added to the ambience. We went over on a ferry driven by a pirate, the theme of the day was pirates, children was in costume and the Pirates of Piran was singing Cornish songs, fab. Although the gardens wasn't open we had a full day exploring, they are only open Thurs and Fri, it gives us and excuse to go back, going in the castle is well worth a visit, but it is the views that is spectacular and a photographers dream. I agree the steps are very steep but even at the bottom by the dairy, the views are great.

Had a brilliant day on the mount, the gardens were out of this world. Had to take the boat there and back so missed the fun of walking over, but it was still very enjoyable. Don't know if it is wheelchair accessible as it was a cobblestone walk all the way up to the castle, but I am sure if you called ahead they could help as required.

Have seen this on Coast and Countryfile so were keen to go.
Had to use the boat to get across as the tide hadn't cleared the causeway.
The climb up is quite hard work and you need decent footwear as it is quite rough in places - sadly there is no way a disable person can visit as there is no other way up to the castle.
We didn't pay as NT members but it wasn't overly expensive.
The castle is really worth the climb and the views are stunning.
The gardens are also hard work to get round (especially on hot days!!) but lovely to see.
Strolled back along the causeway into Marazion - a cute Cornish village

It's a must if you are visiting the area. It's not the most thrilling attraction, but it is impressive and full of history and culture!
