There isn't anything to dislike always stunning. We got the tide times slightly wrong, fine if your wearing Wellies though. Great to visit and great to view.

We were impressed with the view from a far but when we got to the Mount we were very disappointed that EVERYTHING was shut. We had read in info that the castle would be but not even the coffee shop was open.

This is a place everyone should visit if they are used to climbing over uneven rocks and stones up a very steep hill. There are no warning signs telling you it will be hard going getting up to the summit if you are not a good climber even the boat across is a large step if the tides is low. When you make the summit it is well worth the climb and very interesting in the middle of summer the gardens must be great, but on a wet day the path down is a challange. I noticed in the castle there was a photo of the Prince of Wales & the Duchess of Cornwall and I found out they did not walk up the path they went up in a landrover it would be nice if we all had the choice.

St Michaels Mount is definitely one attraction to visit when in Cornwall. We walked along the causeway and it was a really weird feeling having the sea either side of you. A good walk to the island and then lots more walking and climbing to do.
When we arrived at the island the paths were cobbled or just rocks, I had walking boots but my wife only had normal shoes and she had difficulty, so I would advise wearing stout shoes, too late once you are there!!
There is also lots of climbing up to the main building but is definitely worth it when you catch your breath!!
The views from the castellated roof are spectacular.
Really interesting to explore and good restaurant on site also facilities are good.
...just be prepared for exercise!!!
