Really lovely pub .. lots of character ..as it is very old ... really good beers ..bit short of space inside as tables are used for dining ... but plenty of room outside all be it you felt you had imbided a few because the land leans ... good heating outside too... we ate here one night.. chose the window seat.. mistake was a littel tight .. but the meal was brilliant ..proper pub food.. as in really good.. my partner chose the ale pie. with a mash topping ,... the aroma as he opened the crispy top wa wow.. only fault was for him it was a little too much .. but appetites at 73 arent the same as others.. i chose the local fish Megrim.. a cross between a plaice and a dover sole . smothered in shrimp butter ... heaven try it .... I wasnt sure as am not a great lover of flat fish, but I do like to try new things ..well worth it and one last point Mike at the bar .. lovely man
