“Great location, warm and welcoming hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

The fact that we are writing this review six months after our holiday in the UK is testimony to the positive memories we have of our stay at St Michael’s Bed and Breakfast. It was a wild, wet and windy night when we arrived at Marazion after spending a day in the moors in similar weather. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed inside by Paul and Alison who went out of their way to make us comfortable, dry and warm. After a great night’s sleep in the impeccably clean rooms, we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast in the gorgeously decorated and light filled dining room. We enjoyed our chat over breakfast with Paul, while Alison's French toast was voted by our daughters as the best in the UK. Paul and Alison were friendly, generous, down to earth and incredibly accommodating hosts and we wish them continuing success.

Thanks Julie and Tony for taking time out to write a lovely review of your stay with us last October . We very much appreciate your kind wishes for our future success - Thank you. It was good to meet you both, and your girls Isabel and Lara, and to provide a warm welcome after your wet time on the moors and then to send you on your way, dried out, well fed and happy the next morning. Warmest wishes to all your family. Paul & Alison

Our stay at Paul and Alisons B&B was one if not the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The room was excellent and very clean. The hospitality of Paul and Alison was excellent, not only with great accommodation and superb breakfasts, but both always willing to chat and offer advice on places of interest and how to get there too. The breakfast menu was filled with many different choices and left us wanted try them all. In all we would highly recommend this excellent B&B, stay here and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks very much indeed Gary and Amanda for giving us such a glowing review. We will pass on your comments to our housekeeping lady Maureen, who gets as much pleasure as we do in making sure St Michael's is 'just right' and that our guests have a great time. Hope you can stay with us again in the future to try the breakfast dishes you didn't sample during your 3 nights stay :-) Warmest rergards, Paul & Alison

Just returned from a wonderful stay. Paul and Alison were perfect hosts and very welcoming. And the breakfast were a superb way to start the day. Thank you both for welcoming us into your home and making this special weekend that little bit more special. See you again I'm sure. Steve and Viv.

We had room 3, which was great. Perfect hosts, Paul was helping with the itinerary and Alison was helping us to choose the restaurants :). The breackfast was just delicious.
Thanks for everything, Lucian and Camelia

We stayed for one night as we were going to a good freinds wedding in the area. Great room, beautiful food and lovely hosts. What more do you need to know. If we ever need a room in marazion again we will be calling back! Thanks. David and Lara.

Dear Lara and David, Thanks everso much for doing a smashing review on your stay with us last weekend. We didn't see a lot of you, with you being out at Abbies wedding... (and the late night party afterwards), but it was great to meet up over breakfast and hear about your Cafe in Cardingham Woods. Having seen your website it's very pleasing to receive nice comments about our breakfast from somebody who knows about good home cooking. We look forward to visiting you one day to sample your cakes and hope you can stay with us again.
Warmest regards Paul & Alison

Alison and Paul gave us a very warm welcome to their delightful bed and breakfast, conveniently situated in the pretty town of Marazion.
Tea and cakes on arrival and Paul's helpful local knowledge got us off to a good start for our weekend break.
We travelled with family and had rooms 5 and 6 at the top of the house. Both had sea views and were very spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds and seating areas.
Breakfast was cooked by Alison and there was a very wide choice of food with something to surely suit everyone, it was well presented and hot.Paul entertained us with chat and helpful advice on alternative activities when our planned visit to St Michaels Mount was cancelled due to high seas and stormy weather.
We have no hesitation recommending this excellent establishment to those looking for accommodation in this glorious part of the West Country.

Dear Sue and Ken, Thanks very much indeed for taking time out to give us a great review - praise indeed from established AA5 star B&B owners! We look forward to coming to Tedburn St Mary and staying over at Frog Mill B&B later in the year. Thanks for your comments about our breakfasts and it was nice to see you have also reviewed Ben's Cornish Kitchen where you had an evening meal. We count ourselves most fortunate to have such a brilliant restaurant within walking distance. Have a great season. Warmest regards Paul & Alison

Let me start by saying I do not do reviews! but I felt compelled to join Trip Advisor and write about our wonderful stay!

My husband and I booked our 4 night mini-moon at St Michaels with the intention to de-stress following our wedding at Easter. Even before we arrived, Paul and Alison were the perfect hosts; having told them that we would be arriving late, they kindly booked a table for us at a local pub (the Kings Arms, which incidentally serves lovely food and is definitely worth a visit).

The B&B is perfectly located in Marazion, with lots of pubs and lovely places to eat within easy walking distance....We had room 6 at the top of the house, which was stunning....we couldn't have asked for more! The room was beautifully decorated and furnished, and everything was immaculate, with the added luxury of a lovely big en-suite. It also has a great view to the east of the bay.

The breakfast was served in a beautiful, bright dining room, which was (when we were there) illuminated by bright blue skies through the big windows! The breakfasts themselves were delicious, fresh and, where possible, sourced from local ingredients.

However, the greatest asset of this wonderful B&B are the owners, Paul and Alison. They could not do enough to help us make the most of our trip with advice on walks and trips, (do take their advice on food stops!) and lots more things, which added to our experience....they even lent us some maps to help us navigate our way round the bay so we could explore the view from our bedroom window!

We are desperately trying to find some time in our diaries to go back soon to this magical part of the world, and this wonderful B&B, with such lovely people.
