The Harborlight was just what we needed after a hectic wedding week and no immediate honeymoon. My husband returned to work, and I coped with post-wedding craziness, so we needed a break. We're locals, but we checked in at the Harborlight for a night. It was rejuvenating! The view was beautiful, and it was great to have a clean, lovely place to stay. The grounds are gorgeous and comfortable, and Leah's breakfast was delicious! Kathy and Leah were wonderful to work with. It's a 20-minute drive from our house, and I'm sure we'll be back often!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Carteret Suite, which had a private porch swing and was handicap-accessible. Other rooms, however, had better views from their private balconies--shoot for the top floors, if possible.

We spent the week of our 25th here and it was perfect. Breathtaking views, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfasts.....1 Kathy was so welcoming, she quickly became family and friend there. It is secluded and ever so private. We can't wait to return!!!

Lucked out and went on the most gorgeous October weekend. Loved relaxing in the hammock and waking up early drinking coffee on the small dock and watching the birds. It was a short drive to the Emerald Isle beach and the owners provided us with a great beach bag (chairs, towels and umbrella) for the day. Definitely would reccomend this place - it was beautiful and perfect!

We stayed four nights at this bed and breakfast over the July 4th weekend. We had the Morehead Suite- on the third floor, and it was great. The room was very spacious, the king size bed comfortable and we had a beautiful view from the balcony. There was a large jacuzzi tub in the room and the bathroom had a nice shower and two sinks. The best part about this place were the breakfasts! They gave you two courses and it was something different everyday. Some of my favorites were the quiche, delicious bacon, peach cobbler and the french toast souffle. Breakfast was served at 9 am on our balcony. It was great eating breakfast and enjoying the beautfiul view each morning. It was right on the intracoastal waterway and they had a kayak that you could take out. I would definitely stay here again. It was a great base for us-- only about 10 minutes from historic Swansboro and 15 minutes to lay on the beach at Emerald Isle.

Hubby and I came here from Ohio on our honeymoon in October. It was PERFECT. There were hardly any other guests because of the time of year and the weather was gorgeous. The owners are incredibly friendly and give advice on what's good to do around the area. I loved their breakfast as well!

It's also off the beaten path--not along the beach and the center of tourism (the beach is only a few minutes away though). The views of the sound were superb.

I hope to go back someday. It was the best vacation I ever had!
