Just returned from the 2hr dolphin watching trip this morning. Excellent value for money. The Rib boat ride in itself was just awesome and exhilarating but the opportunity to see Dolphins in the wild made the whole trip. We didn't see a huge number of Dolphins as there was a lot of swell however those we saw were beautiful just swimming in the ocean. Lovely coffee and cakes afterwards and the most incredibly knowledgable and passionate staff giving a brilliant talk. I learnt so much. Thank you for a wonderful experience
Fantastic trip from start to finish. Great boat ride, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Saw quite a big pod of dolphins approx 9miles out to see. Amazing. Worth every penny.
Had a great trip on this very fast rib. After hurting along at a rate of knots we were rewarded with a sighting of a large pod of dolphins with their young. It was lovely to see them
In their natural environment although the crew were wary of getting too close to them as they did have very young babies with them. The crew are clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and it comes across in their enthusiasm to make sure that you have a good trip.
Definitely a trip to recommend.
We visited on the coastal explorer trip where we went out on the speed boat and then kayaks. Such an amazing trip from start to finish, the staff were very friendly and the scenery was superb in the caves and coast.
Before we left for Portugal we had mixed feelings about going on a dophin trip, mostly because of the negative reviews and the little chance of actually spotting dolphins. So, we firsts did some research and Wildwatch had the most positive reviews, and as we soon learned, this is well deserved.
Trip 1:
We booked a 3 hour trip and it was not cheap. Still, as a famiily of 4, it was something that we all wanted to do and as father and the oldest in the group, it would mean ticking off one of my dreams on my bucket list.
The sales lady (Magda), was amazing. Friendly and honest and the reason why we ended up taking the longer trip (brilliant sales lady). Onother convincing aspect was the money-back garantee given by Wildwatch if we didn't see dolphins. Great deal!
Not even a half hour into the trip, we spotted our first comman dolphins. Not 1, but dozens, including mothers with their babies. We were as far as 15 km out to sea and our boat was surrounded by comman dolphins more than once.
The captain of the boat and Barbara (the marine biologist on board), did their very best to give us the time of our lives en it was not long before the found a group of the better know bottle-nose dolphins.
On the way back to shore we had a little time lest over and they even mad the effort to show us a little of the beautiful coast line. All in all, a most beautiful experience for us all.
Trip 2:
We had so much fun on the first trip that we decided to do a second one, only this time to see the caves and coastline of the Algarve. This too was a most enjoyable trip. The captain of the boat (sorry, forgotten his name), took the effort to show us as much as possible and he even managed to manouver the boat into some of the most beautiful caves. What an amazing experience. The trip home at full throttle was also an adrenaline rush.
Thanks to the whole team (especially Magda).

Had a great welcome from the team aboard the catamaran, and we motored just to the west of Portimao for an excellent guided snorkelling expedition. None of us had snorkelled before, but we had great tuition and felt safe and secure despite being off a secluded cove. Back onboard we were treated to some lunch, and then set sail back to Ferragudo harbour. This trip could not have been better!
