We (parents + toddler) staid here for 4 days and enjoyed our stay very much in June 2011. Complex clean and toddler friendly as there are two areas. One area with a family pool and a 50 cm deep toddler pool, second area was for people who did not want to be disturbed by children (Adults only).
Very surprised about the cleanliness of the appartement, facility and terrace. Also, surprised about daily clean service (beds were done, terrace cleaned). Appartment is pretty small, but big enough for us as we were out the whole day anyway. Sleeping was great - it is situated on a top of a hill without any noise pollution (cars, emergency, drunks).
One thing I have to say, the village is on a hill and close to it is a little village with a couple of restaurants (fresh fish from the morning). We needed a car for exploring other places and buy food. There is a little shop with the basics, but expensive with little choice.
All in all, we would stay there again and think about booking a holiday next year with Vitor's village.

We have just spent a week self catering here and it was great,I cannot add anything to what the previous reviews have said because IT IS ALL TRUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hill to the centre is not that bad my husband is in his 70s and he did it ?
took his time but it was ok.
A great restaurant to go to is Fim do Mundo had great meals, wine, and service, just down the hill and 1st right up the cobbled ally.
The beach at Praia do Pintadinho was recomended to us by the staff at Fim do Mundo as there are no steps to it, but you do need a car what a fantastic place.
All in all a first class holiday, we will go back to this one again

We stayed here for a week in aug, my husband & 2 sons aged 14 & 10 & I did not want to come home, the app. was huge with a big balcony, maid service was great, staff are very helpful great pool, plenty of sunbeds, we went to the grande beach which was fab on the free bus, it was a great help. If you walk across the bit of wasteland opp. reception and follow the road (very Steep) round to the right there is a bank with a ATM at the bottom & across the road is a square full of bars & restaurants, we ate at the english one every night and the food was fab. faro airport transfers were great 100 euros for both ways, most charge 100 euros for 1 way! you have to look for a man holding a board with your name on when you go through the doors as we didnt & he went away then came back to us after a phone call to the company. would def. go back & stay here, pool bar food was basic but ok.

Room Tip: a room away from reception as the music is loud from the bar.

We were lucky enough to book one of the 2bedroom town houses but the didn't seem to be prepared for us. Saying that we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and want to come back. Ferragudo is a great village once you find your way around. Recommend Ferragood restaurant at the bottom of the hill and the bars and Italian restaurant on the square. The best beach is a 20 min walk but well worth a visit. We also paid 11 euros for a taxi to the Marina to find out there was a boat from Ferragudo which takes you across! Walked to Praia de Rocha but it took us one and a half hours in 40 degrees! Taxi was 7 euros back! Lidl is a 10 min walk and much cheaper than hotel supermarket. Already looking to go back next year but perhaps independently.......Ferragudo is lovely for a relaxing holiday

Stayed at the resort for 10 nights and stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. Masses of space and spotless, we found the complex to be very quite and chav free. It is literally a 5 minute walk into Ferragudo (walk across a bit of wasteland across from reception and down 'cardiac hill'). Loved Grand Praia Beach and found some excellent restaurants, Fim Du Mundo if you love steaks/chops/good wine and Sueste at the end of the harbour for excellent fresh fish cooked in front of the restaurant over charcoal.
Overall a very relaxing holiday, I would say, however, that families with teenage kids would struggle for evening entertainment both on the complex and in Ferragudo itself.
