“what a good find”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Just back from a short stay at Raines Close. What a good find. Friendly hosts.lovely bright warm room on the ground floor with beautiful views of open countryside. Everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and very generous. We liked. Raines Close so much we booked the same room again for Grassington festival. The b&b has private parking and is literally a 2 minute walk from the village centre. Try it out and see what you think!

Room Tip: Ground floor room has access to garden

We stayed at the Raines close guest house for two nights at the end of November 2012 and what a find! Geraldine and David (the owners) couldn't do enough for us, lovely couple. The house is located a two minute walk (if that) from the main square in grassington but is just far enough out for it to be quiet. The breakfast both mornings was fantastic, there was a great choice of fresh fruit, cereals etc and the full English was spot on! My girlfriend and I both said it was one of the nicest, cleanest, friendliest places we have stayed in a long long time, we will definitely be staying again!

We stayed at Raines Close on the 9th and 10th November 2012
If you want to stay in Grassington you can't do better than RAINES CLOSE GUEST HOUSE. A friendly welcome, comfortable room and better than average food went to make a most enjoyable stay. They also catered very well for my husbands coeliac condition. An ideal spot for touring the southern dales.

If you want the perfect guest house, this is it.
All the rooms have all ;you could ask for, and more

Should you be lucky enough to find the ground floor room vacant, you also have access to the garden and beautiful views.

Breakfast is what you would expect in a 5 star hotel, beautifully served.

David and geraldine your hosts, soon become your friends because you will want to return, again and again

Stayed here with friends for a couple of nights. The proprietors David and Geraldine have a delightful B&B right on the edge of the little village of Grassington.

Everything about the place gets my vote: it is exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and a perfect location for exploring the village or the wider Dales. Breakfast is just wonderful - a great choice of food with vegetarian option if required.

Don't try anywhere else - this is as good as it gets!

Have just spent 3 nights a Raines and it was perfect, this being our second stay. From the moment you arrive you receive a warm welcome from David and Geraldine and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are bright, comfortable, warm and very clean, in fact everything seems to have been taken into consideration to ensure their guests are well catered for. Our room was a ground floor twin with french windows that led out into the garden. It was so nice to come in and make a drink from the well stocked hospitality tray and admire the views. The breakfast I think is the best we have had. There is a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal, followed by an excellent cooked breakfast, plenty of tea and coffee. toast, jam and marmalade all served in the friendly dining room which boasts fantastic views over the Dales. There is good parking at the front, which anyone who has visited Grassington knows that this is a bonus. We left feeling very relaxed and booked for a return visit. I would recommend a stay at Raines to anyone.

Stayed 1 night with my 7 year old daughter on a last minute walking holiday. Friendly, clean and accommodating. Great twin room with fantastic views, David and Geraldine were the perfect hosts. We were able to check in early and leave our bags and park the car before setting off on our walk.
