Hotel in old town. It should have 3 stars - problems with hot water, very sober equipment and cosmetics in the bathroom. Problems with WiFi. Breakfast very moderate. The re4ception polite and helpful.

Stayed here just one night for business. Excellent location for the town. Obviously I am here well out of season but the place was well appointed and the rooms we large and clean. Only had breakfast here and once again I have not had a bad meal in Italy. Its all very good.

A charming, comfortable hotel in the medieval centre of town. Our rooms were lovely, with very comfortable beds, and a massive, well-equipped bathroom. The facilities are not the most modern (for example, the TV is not the latest flat screen beastie) but everything works and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and utterly charming in an understatedly formal way.

Breakfast was good (as Italian breakfasts go anyway where you often end up with just a roll and coffee) with cereals, fruit juices, yogurt, rolls, cheese, ham, salami, cakes, jams, fresh fruit, etc and excellent (if scarily strong) coffee. The bar was quiet during our stay, but a pleasant place to sit and discuss the day.

The adjoining restaurant was extremely good indeed, and a 10% discount for hotel residents made the already reasonable prices for some very classy cooking seem even more reasonable.

The one thing I would highlight to anyone planning on staying here is that its difficult to locate using SatNav if you put the full address in. Via Don Minzoni 19 doesn't locate it. However, certainly with a Tom Tom system, Via Minzoni 19 DOES work!

precondition: this is the only hotel in the area, all the others are 2 stars (or poor 3).

anyway, the building is simply amazing: it was the residence of some nobiliar family from middle age, the new property commissioned the restoration to "Accademia delle belle arti".

the room aren't that big same for the toilette but, thanks to the restoration, you will not blame you. after all we are speaking of an ancient building!!

The wellness/spa has been created in a small cave.

the restaurant is a bit expensive (as the hotel) but has a great selection of wine and food is great too.

the parking entrance, if you have a medium size car, could be a bit difficult.

negative point: civita castellana is a really small village, with nothing to do/see, on the other point you surely will travel by car if you end up there :P

This was an extraordinary place. Even the hallways were elegantly decorated. They gave me a huge room which I appreciated. The entire complex is lovely with a beautiful courtyard with a fountain. The adjoining restaurant was fabulous. The food was all prepared to order including the pasta, and they gave a 10 percent discount to hotel guests. The staff was professional and aimed to please.

Room Tip: Any room is great
