The collection of Etruscan art in Forte Sangallo is very beautiful and impressive. I have already seen the Villa Giulia in Rome and was curious about the collection in Forte Sangallo. It was well worth the visit. The castle itself is also interesting from an architecture and historical perspective.
The visit is for free but can only be done under supervision and guidance of a person from the staff. The explanations given by the staff (in italian) were very interesting. Please take note that visits can only occur on an hourly basis. We arrived at 15:40 and had to wait until 16:00 before the guided tour could start. We were out at 17:00.
There was not enough time to see the whole collection in 1 hour, I hope to see the rest another time if I am in the area.
