“Silent location in the middle of the city”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

I have visited Thrissur with a group of friends once a year in 13 years. Every time we prefer to stay in Luciya Palace, because of its excellent location close to round (the main city centre). Nevertheless it is calm and silent with a garden behind, there you can eat outside, close to the tandoori kitchen. The staff is kind, friendly and helpful. The inside restaurant is nice renovated and a very popular family restaurant, serving very good Indian and chinese food.
The rooms are large, clean and simple. Two floors and no elevator.

I happened to stay in this hotel about three or four times on my way to Coimbatore with family. It is a very decent hotel situated near the Round, the heart of Thrissur City. Rooms are very neat. Attached restaurant served very tasty Indian and Chinese food. Though the hotel is a bit costly, it is worth. The restaurant has a very nice and calm atmosphere. Service was excellent. I recommend this hotel especially for families.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Thrissur. Its located just 5 minutes from the round (the main city centre). The rooms are large and clean. The restaurant in the hotel serves good food. The service is good. There is no lift in the hotel which is not a big disadvantage unless one is very old or disabled as the hotel has only 2 floors. Its within walking distance of the main market area and also the famous temples of Thrissur. Its a good business & family hotel.

Room Tip: Choose any room on the first floor as there is no lift in the hotel.

I had a stay here. Room is very spacious. There is no Doubt in that. But ambiance inside the room is very very worst.
1. Window A.C is there. But no remote or any other thing to operate it. On call basis, They will come and adjust and take back the Remote.
2. A.C Will not work when Generator is ON.
3. Hot will not come.
4. you may a have a feel of itching.
5. If you another 200 or 300 Rs, You may can find a very good hotel here.
6. terrible
7. Dont know where is the Lift.

OMG!!!!!!

Room Tip: Mirror is good.

Hotel Luciya Palace is situated very close to the popular Vadakkumnatan temple in Thekkinkad Maidan / Swaraj Round and also to Trissur railway station and bus stand. Though it is in a good location, the rooms are badly in need of maintenance. The rooms are very spacious and well furnished, but definitely very old that you can smell dust and mould the moment you step in. The airconditioners are nearly dead and they operate just for the sake of calling it an AC room.
I had a disturbed sleep with sneezing and a running nose, that I jumped up from the bed before daybreak, to switch off the AC and open all windows in the room. It did help to stop the dust allergy, which made me realise that I would have slept with the windows open. Not so sure whether there were mosquitoes if I did so.

Located about 800 mtrs from the Thrissur Railway Station, Hotel Luciya Palace is a convenient place for stay if one is on a budget trip. The rooms are large and kept clean but somehow a sense / atmosphere of tidiness / symmetry is missing in the rooms. The old world style furniture does add a sense of quaintness. The hotel has an attached restaurant where good food is served but is slightly costly compared to the market prices. Service leaves a good gap that has to be bridged. Landing there at 02:30 Hrs, the bell-boy was not available though the desk person was available and had to carry the baggage myself to the room. Check out was smooth. All in all it is not a bad place to stay whether you are on a business trip or a personal trip.

Room Tip: Room Air Conditioner (A/c) - window type are of vintage condition. Select a room after checking the...
