“Really a holiday !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2012

Nattika Beach Resort in Thrissur,Kerala,is a lovely place for a peaceful holiday.
Being a Resort, whose main accent is Ayurvedic treatment, both health and environment are well taken care of here. The beauty of the place is enhanced by the vast lawn and coconut trees in front of the cottages, with the beach further ahead.
The Cottages are well appointed and comfortable with, nice sit-out,over-looking
the lawn, good for relaxing with the morning coffee or evening tea.
The dining area is not congested and very clean. The service is most courteous and
pleasing.
The cottages are quite comfortable and spacious. One unique feature of the Cottages is that the roof is thatched inside with herbal materials which enhances the environment in the room.
The Resort has one Restaurant to cater to the Residents. As the accent of the Resort is health, the food that is prepared here very health conscious, especially for those who stay for treatment. In their cases the food is prepared with reference to their constitution. For the others,it is regular food. The food is quite tasty,
The service in all the Deparments are excellant and very pleasing.
The main activities one can indulge in here is Swimming and walking. The Beach is clean and peaceful for long walk both in the morning and in the evening.
The Swimming Pool surrounded by the Coconut trees presents a pleasing atmosphere .It is very nice to watch the sun set from the Beach.
There are quite a few places near here, notably Guruvayur(25 KMS) and Athitapally Falls (30 Kms) for short day trips.
The Resort has a good travel service who arrange even pick up and drop from Airport and visiting other places.

Room Tip: All cottages are well apponited .

The Nattika Beach ayurveda resort is only 2 or 3 years old. It offers superior accomodation, excellent food and superb service. What more do you want?

I and a small group of friend have been at the resort for the 2nd time. And we will be back again. Friendly staff, excellent cuisin, comfortable accomodation and delightful ayurveda clinic/treatment.

Room Tip: the deluxe villas 203 to 208 best. try to avoid 209/210. Also twin villas are fine(and cheaper!)

Great loaction in a remote village on an isolated beach. The beach is beautiful with hardly anybody on it except the hotel guests, lots of crabs and shells! It was great to see some giant crabs in the early morning, rushing into their burrows as soon as you near them. The ayurvedic treatment facilites are also very good.

The hotel staff is very hospitable, especially those in the restaurant. To set the expectation right, few negatives to bear in mind

1. The location is remote, so one is entirely dependant on the resort's restaurant for all meals. Although the food is good, it is pricey
2. The beach is not lighted and it is quite dark after 6 p.m. So there is no activity after that, except the swimming pool. Hunderds of cute crabs invade the beach after that; although they seem harmless, one never-the-less feels scared to walk on the beach.
3. The swimming pool had lot ot insects and worms when I used it in the morning. Probably they clean it latter in the day, but given their reputation, they can probably improve on this and get it cleaned before it is open for guests.
4. We were the only Indian family in the resort. They do seem to be pampering their foreign guests a bit more than Indians

Overall, it was a very relaxing and memorable stay.

We went as three families and thoroughly enjoyed it.. It was a great surprise to witness such a well developed resort in this place because this is a little known part of kerala for beach resorts.. Having been to guruvayur so many times from my childhood, never thought such a GEM was hiding hardly 45 mins away from the holy temple..

A resort with excellent standard rooms, stunning property , different food, Clean pool and above all PRIVATE BEACH.. thats sums it up! what more!:-) Rooms were great.. Service was quick and warming.. Food was very different and being vegetarians we thoroughly enjoyed it..

A negative is that you wont get any alchoholic drinks...Also, the double room had single beds put together which was not that comfortable..

Overall excellent... If planning for guruvayur, one must defenitely visit this place.. I guarentee that you wont regret the drive !:-)

We had an opportunity to go for a short trip with family to Nattika beach resort. before going there, i enquired about the property to few of my friends, who are travel proffessionals, and got pretty good feedback, except the high cost.

It has to be published that, the property is awsome, and it needs a high grade recommendation.

Ok, so it's rather interesting hotel, where you can't buy a bottle of wine or something like this. There are not many people in the hotel. Many from Switzerland and Germany as usual. Most of them are about 50 years old. They go to sleep at 9 p.m., so you can't speak loud in the evening.
Food. I didn't like this food. It's not for european people, but it it India, so you must be ready for rice, beans and so on.
If you want to relax in the quiet place, then it's rather good hotel with very good ocean and clean beach.
