Anise Resort is everything a hotel should be, well run, comfortable, clean and with excellent staff, no, not staff, friends. The food is superb, Crista certainly knows what she is doing. The rooms are well furnished with comfortable beds and good ensuites. The terrace overlooking the pool and the beach is a great place to relax with a rum punch. BUT above all it is the care and attention of everyone who is involved with the smooth running of Anise that is so special.Crista, Shervin, Margaret, Donna and Neville are a great team, they do everything they can to make your stay special.
While we were there we saw the turtles on the beach at Grande Riviere, the Trinidad piping guan on a trip with Neville and Nicholas Alexander(highly recommended) and Point where the Atlantic and Caribbean meet, with Neville. What a wonderful way to end our trip to T&T.

As a group of ten (comprising three families one of whom was visiting from England) wanted to witness the turtle nesting season and spent one night at Anise Resort and Spa. It was a marvelous experience for us all - the staff are personable, warm and friendly to guests. The property is well maintained and the accommodations are tasteful and comfortable. The meals were simple but delicious and tasty. Essentially, we could not find one single thing about which to complain. Anise is a lovely family owned place overlooking Big Bay Beach where one can relax and unwind. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to overseas friends and family members.

This was our third visit to this resort and its one of a kind. This place is immaculate. It just has eleven rooms but it is very special. The resort is on a hill overlooking the ocean. To the back of the resort are the mountains of the Northern Range. The views are magnificent. There is a constant breeze from the ocean. Rooms are clean luxurious and well kept. Hotel staff are friendly and cater to your every need. Three meals and afternoon snacks are included in the price of the room. From here we go turtle watching at Grand Riviere which is about an half hour drive ro the west of Sans Souci on the coast. The cost of rooms varies by size and location of the room. There is a lovely balcony to the front and south side of the top floor.

Room Tip: Ask for the Jasmine Room if its available

In our experience, the north coast of Trinidad is scenic, but accommodations tend to be quite rustic. Thus Anise was a pleasant surprise. Attentive service; delicious, healthy and innovative cuisine; well-maintained infrastructure; and delightful decor. This is a must visit again!

We spent the last two nights of a fortnight's holiday in T and T at Anise. We asked Motmot who booked our trip for a couple of days to wind down and enjoy a break after five days at Asa Wright. We took their advice which proved an excellent decision on our behalf. We had our doubts on the long drive from Asa Wright but once we saw the setting they all disappeared

The hotel is beautifully located above the beach and the internal décor is really
well thought out as are all aspects of this delightful hotel. Everyone was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for Donna, Margaret and the young trainees. Krista's food was wonderful and the Wi-Fi worked impeccably.

Neville took us out at 5.30 am to meet Nicholas Alexander the local bird guide and visit the rare local Powii or Crested Guan. We were lucky and had perfect views of the birds but Nicholas also pointed out another five species which were new to us. We hope to return and spent more time with Nicholas.

This was a hotel we could not fault and would recommend to anyone who wanted quiet and relaxation in a beautiful location. We hope to visit again.
