We popped round to Clarens Brewery to try out their free beer and cider tasting.

Sitting outside on the bench we had a beautiful view of the mountains with a fun, vibey and chatty atmosphere of the other guests around us.

The tasting samples arrived promptly and we were very impressed by the quality of all of the beers and ciders on offer.

I chose a tasty cherry cider and my husband went for the Clarens Red Beer. Despite being full to capacity, the waiters were friendly and very attentive. We left with a few take -away cases of beer and cider to enjoy back at home in JHB.

A must if you're in Clarens.

We didn't eat here, but the beers and ciders from the Brewery are just amazing. I was treated to very generous tastings with no obligation to buy. But the quality of their drinks sold themselves - well done.

Very decent beer, and a great place to sit and chill with a drink in hand. Nice platters. The sausages are by far the best - don't bother with the bread and cheese.

Great craft beer, good food! Service was a little slow, but it was a long weekend with people waiting to be seated.
