What a great time we had. Great shower after a days long driving, a warm welcome on arrival by staff and have to give the perfect location a thumbs up. Really well situated to explore the town and its' various shops on foot. It was cold, but our room was snug and the bed assured us of a very deep restful sleep. Breakfast a treat the next morning and we felt that we left too soon. Thank you 278 on Main !!

Room Tip: Ruby a beauty !

Spent 2 nights this past weekend in the ruby room. The rooms are spacious, well furnished with a great bathroom. There is a ceiling fan, a floor fan, Gas heater and electric blanket. Very comfortable bed. Tea, coffee, milk provided. It is great to sit on the balcony and watch the people go by. The breakfast was also good. All staff and management are polite and effecient.

This was our second my second visit to 278, the first one being 3 years ago and the high standards have been maintained. The rooms are very comfortable ,well stocked with tea's coffee's and extra blankets for cold nights, though these were not needed in November. This time I could only find a few channels to watch on the TV so bring a good book. The hotel is strategically located at the end of the commercial activites on Main street. So fairly quiet but you can start your shopping and sightseeing right from the front door. That is if you can steal yourself away from the terrace from where it is fun to watch the passing parade.
Breakfasts menu is varied and delicious and dinner was excelent.

Room Tip: Crystal room is the one with balcony and mountain views.
