Front desk is a mixed bag. Some of the staff were amazing, others were terrible. Oddly enough, sometimes you'll need to wait around for 10 min or more for them to come out from the back. I was able to arrange for a car to drive us around for a few hours in Constantine as well as a very cheap ride to the airport (600 Dinars as of May 2017)

Rooms are clean, spartan, and usable. However, the Internet Wifi Connection is beyond terrible and could use some serious improvements.

Food is average for a hotel. Nothing special.

Location is great near the old town.

Room tip: We got a room looking away from the city center and it was very quiet. We were facing the mountains.

Warm and Cozy hotel, very convenient for a couple of days of just work with a great location and sea view but poor wifi speed.
Amenities are not to be expected , food variety not much also. Hotel rooms are clean and have a good air-conditioning.

Ibis and Novotel dominate the hotel market in central Constantine. A few good things about Ibis. It's central clean and safe.

However the AC did not work the three days I was there and reception staff not in hurry to fix the problem or apologise for it. TV did not work either

I gave up on breakfast as by 8.30 there was little food left. Evening meal was only a very expensive buffet costing DA 3000 with industrial type catering.

I only used this place because there are few other hotels. Tourist infrastructure in Constantine is very poor but as it improves hopefully Ibis will up its game.

Decent clean room, and great location spoiled by poor customer service.

The receptionist was incredibly slow dealing with other customers, and I had to wait a good twenty minutes for him to deal with 3 customers - which seemed excessive.

Then when he was free, instead of saying "Sorry for the Wait" or speakign ayt all, he went right to the back of the room and starteddoing some additional paperwork that clearly could have been done at a later stage.

I had to ask another member of staff to get him to come back and let me pay him.

He did eventually come to the front and served me but was really slow the whole time, and there was a long queue behind me. I clearly stated "I'd like to pay for my room and get my key". He kept asking me additional questions and asking if I'd like to upgrade, and asking if I'd like to put extra money on a tab, and then explaining what a room tab is (which of course is common knowledge and doesn't require explaining).

I don't mind waiting if there's a reason for it, but the receptionist seemed deliberately slow and poorly managing his tasks. I can't remember having to wait so long in the past, and he was needlessly slow and discourteous. I remember thinking at the time I'd like to make a formal complaint because it really bothered me.

Other than the receptionist, the location was good, the rooms were ok, and the room was perfectly clean. The cleaning staff do an excellent job, and the views from the balcony were amazing.

The breakfast, compared to other I've had in Algeria was good enough. The breads were dry, avoid the meat and eggs. I ate cheese, cucumbers and olives for breakfast because those were the tastiest of the offerings. Some of the juices were watery and nasty tasting.

My room was adequate, the floor gave when I walked across, the flooring was loose so I tripped many times, the shower had issues. The shower started out very cold, got scalding hot, then stopped running all within about a three minute cycle. So when the water was not really cold and not really hot, jump in and get wet. It took about 2 minutes for the water to recycle and start running again. I had to shut the valve off or the water would not start. Once the water was so-so, rinse and jump out before getting scalded. The sink had the same cycle.

On the good side, it has an excellent location right off the main square and even though most hotels in Algeria do not heat the rooms, this place had plenty and one night too much heat.

Room tip: The rooms on the back side of the hotel have a view of the surrounding countryside.
