With no personal references, this hotel was courtesy my "research" on TripAdvisor. And it turned out exactly as evaluated on this website, which I am increasingly depending on to make assessments and recommendations.
Located not far from the station (anyway, Gaya is not a very big place), the hotel offers home-like services. Guests are well attended to.
The hotel makes you feel safe and secure, rooms are clean (barring the odd cricket in the bathroom), running water and hot water geyser. Air-conditioning was good, though dependent on the municipal power supply. Light and fan worked even during the frequent power failures.
Even though (supposedly) they do not have their own kitchen, they do offer room service.
Mr AK Sinha and Mr Bharti (I believe the owners or very close to the owners) were very polite and courteous. They had replied promptly & properly to my emails which I sent them before leaving for India and therefore had created a good impression even before I reached the hotel.
Their customer service exceeded expectations. Our return train was past midnight and to ensure our safety, Mr Bharti sent a hotel bellboy along with us to the railway station. The bellboy not only helped us with our luggage but also saw us off till the railway platform. He was ready to stay there till the train arrived but we let him go.
The tariff, I feel, was rather high, but then one has to compromise somewhere!
Overall, a good place to stay.
