We had relatives visiting from Ontario so decided to take them out for breakfast. Short drive from south end of Calgary, agricultural spring scenery. Grounds very well kept. Prices are good. However, when we arrived at 10:45 am they were unable to serve us coffee and it was not heated up yet! We never did get any coffee nor did the the incoming customers. Very strange!!

Hello AuroaB,

Thank you for your recent visit and kind words. Once again, our apologies that we were unable to provide coffee during your visit. Unfortunately our coffee machine broke down which left us in the lurch that day.

We do have a brand new machine and would love to invite you back for a free cup of coffee on us!

Have a traintastic Summer!

Took my momma here for Mother’s Day brunch on the train. It was so cool. It’s a bit tight but how often do you eat on a train??!? The food was delicious and service so friendly. The store which sells everything is so awesome! It is exactly the kind of stuff I like. Can’t wait to go back and stay at the campground in July! Only 40 mins from Calgary. A must do for any age!!!

Came here for Mother’s Day dinner and also to pick up plants from the greenhouse. Both were awesome. They have a great chef in the dining car. Definitely worth the drive. Extensive menu so shouldn’t be hard to find something to eat - in fact, it’s probably hard to decide what to pick.
Good selection of plants to choose from as well.

Literally out in the middle of nowhere is Aspen Crossing. It includes a fantastic campground with full service hook ups; pull through and back in spots.
There are three group sites which have a central group meeting area and around 10 individual sites. These are really cool for family get togethers.
Train excursions on site are amazing!
AroundThe weekends get very busy, book early. Also they have train/camp special rates.
There are also three really unique cabooses for families of 4 to 6. They are upscale. Children love this experience.
On site are two restaurants/tavern and an escape rooms house.
Amazing fun!

My husband and I️ had the pleasure of taking 2 of our grandkids, age 2 & 4, for an adventure in the Polar Express. Nasty roads getting there, but the party was worth it! From the friendly staff to the noisy hobo, the train trip was so much fun and quite in tune with the movie. There were fireworks at the North Pole...a snappy ticket taker...hot, hot chocolate. It was a little pricey, but well worth it!

The only suggestion I️ would have would be to have little craft stations available for the kids while they awaited the train.

Gotta go!
