Stayed here for several nights with my husband who was working on the Island. Very welcoming Hotel and the staff and owners couldn't do enough for you. Fantastic breakfast (salmon and scrambled eggs to die for). Evening meal was lovely too and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was large and very comfortably set out. It was always nice and warm and the bed was extremely comfortable. The peace and tranquility are very addictive and i found it hard to settle down at home again amidst all the hustle and bustle. A really nice, family run, friendly hotel. Thank you.

Welcoming peat fire in this 1745 inn, at lunchtime, in the Hebrides, on a Thursday in November. A very rare find. Lovely welcome and a steaming bowl of pea soup and a scone by the stove on a freezing winter day. Outlook over the breathtaking Sound of Barra.

Spent three nights with family and friend as a birthday celebration. It had taken ten years to turn meaning too into reality and we were not disappointed. As previously pointed out by many, the staff make the Polochar the uniquel place it is.Food was up to a good standard and enjoyed by all, location is wonderful, and the inn is clean and well maintained.Days of sunshine and warmth combined with atmospheric light rain to leave wonderful memories of a very special time

We enjoyed a lovely time at the Polochar Inn. The staff are wonderful, without exception. We were made so welcome. The room was beautifully decorated and fresh with a wonderful view. There was much attention to detail and the whole Inn felt really clean. Breakfast was excellent, too and we enjoyed dinner both nights we stayed. Thank you for all the advice on where to go and what to see - we would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Polochar Inn.

We ate here one evening whilst staying in a B&B about 6 miles away. The weather outside was wet n windy so it was nice to get inside! We had an excellent meal, all food was freshly cooked and arrived piping hot on hot plates.
