“Ideal property and location”
Reviewed February 25, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Located centrally for exploring the Uists from Eriskay to Berneray and convenient for local services (shops, cafes, restaurants, swimming pool etc). Despite the wintry weather in February, the cottage was lovely and warm with all the amenities a family of 5 would require. Nice to stay in a self catering that has been designed for that purpose - plenty of bathrooms, space, and kitchen utensils with good underfloor heating. The owners clearly care about the property and their customers and we'll hopefully be back.

Stayed for a week. Views from the windows are absolutely stunning - in good weather. House has all mod cons, very comfortable beds, huge kitchen with a full set of cooking utensils, plenty of crockery and glassware fit for entertaining guests. Two food shops are just a few minutes away by car and open long hours. Travelled the length of the Uists by car from Eriskay to Berneray. There is no shortage of places to go and things to do. The weather can be wet and windy but we had five good days and two stay-in and read days. WiFi access is via a fast satellite link - just as good as in London.

Nothing disappoints. This is home from home in a stunning location. This lovely house has everything. Flexible living accommodation, naturally light and spacious. Brilliant views. Great for socialising which we did. We had relatives to visit in Uist. also explored, didn't have enough time to visit many of the sites we wished to explore. We will return. Try and visit the nearby islands, we did Barra on a gorgeous day. Simoly breathtaking.

“Beautiful Uist and property”
Reviewed August 20, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Excellent accommodation and location in a peaceful part of the world. Great weather and short eared owl watching from the rear of the property. Highly recommended and would go again.

An Taigh Soilleir is a fantastic very well equipped house to relax in when on Uist. The location is ideal to explore the islands.Beaches, shops and meals out not far to travel to.Every room is spacious and beautifully done. The garden is ideal to both play and relax in.wifi an added bonus. We loved our stay,it is the best accommodation on Uist we have found to date.Next years visit is in the planning.

“Spacious comfortable accomodation in South Uist”
Reviewed June 25, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Based in the north of South Uist, An Taigh Soilleir is a spacious, comfortable accommodation.
Plenty of room to sleep six, two en suite and possibly another two upstairs in a TV/study area.
Everything clean tidy and warm.
We had excellent weather when we were there but should you be 'trapped' inside then you can enjoy the excellent DVD collection, and if you must there is wifi.
Nice hill views and very peaceful :-)
