This restaurant was most likely our favorite restaurant on our two week vacation in Italy. Located in the small town of Castiglione Fiorentino. Recommended to us as a fabulous seafood restaurant but they also serve pizza and their menu is quite extensive. The staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. One of our favorite dishes was the Steak Robespierre, which we added a side dish of their fabulous white beans with sauteed garlic and oil.Yum. Do not forget to make a reservation in advance as they book up quickly. They were also nice enough to present us with a cordial of Limoncelol upon finishing our dinner. Excellent restaurant!

One of our two best dinners in Italy. Recommended because of their seafood and were they right! We had some great pastas too! Soup was very good. The best of all was a fish that was done whole and encrusted in sea salt. The owner is suprisingly young but a solid restaurateur. He was very personable but with an eye for detail and looking to please his customers. If he were in my town, I would be a regular. This restaurant is on the cost a bit more list but well worth it.

The staff and owner are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the service is excellent! I spent three months in Castiglion Fiorentino, and I went to this restaurant at least 3-4 times/week. It's SO good! The Capricciosa pizza is my favorite! Don't leave Tuscany without dining here!

After being recommended this by a local friend who directs his agriturismo guests here, we finally got the chance to visit after receiving some good news in Arezzo and we pass this on the way home. Cast. Fiorentino is short on good places to eat near the centre so we had high hopes and weren't disappointed.

Tucked behind some unassuming apartment blocks off the main road, inside the restaurant interior is modern Tuscan country-chic with traditional stone walls offset with white linen and some clever lighting touches. Extensive pizza menu was dropped in favour of the generously loaded seafood dishes.

We shared a steam mussels (cozze) dish as a starter, then stringozzi (flat spaghetti-like ribbons) with vongole (lifted to another level with a dash of lemon zest) and paceri with seafood (generously loaded with mussels, clams, octopus, squid) in a rich tomato sauce. Delicious. For dessert we sidestepped with usual tiramisu et alia and instead shared an unusual stack of crumbly pastry with cream and fruit. The pineapple was lovely but could have left the apple out.

Only negative was that service was a bit flaky... only two working front of house with 80 guests and more arriving... so we had an unnervingly long wait between menus and ordering. But once ordered food arrived smoothly and tasted great. Still they took dessert off the bill (without us asking). Total bill €52 with half a bottle of wine in hand for tomorrow's lunch. So we left very happy – vowing to return again soon. Great find in Castiglion Fiorentino/Val di Chio. Recommended.

This restaurant was receommended by the owners of our B and B. It turned out to be the best restaurant meal we had on our 10 day trip to Italy. Particluarly the Tagliata alla Robespierre (sliced steak with Olive oil and pepper with contorni of grilled potatoes and Tuscan beans was fabulous. Service was great and the wine advice excellent. We tried to go back the next day, but unfortunately, it was closed. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
