Spent three days in this wonderful house,it has everything you could possibly want . Plenty parking for three cars we had. Enclosed garden meant our friendly dog was safe. Plenty garden furniture for outside dining. House is across road from great beach and coastal path, we walked to St Monans along the path seeing the salt pans and learning about how it was made.
All bedrooms and bathrooms were very well presented, plenty linen and extra towels if needed.
Good views from all windows , wonderful sea views from the second floor bedroom.
Kitchen and sitting room were very comfortable with plenty seating, and all the kitchen utensils you could want.
There was up to date leaflets etc with local and wider information about eating places and upcoming events.
I loved the paintings which were all over the house?
I was disappointed there was nowhere on Shore Road to have a cup of tea or a drink, it would have been nice. We would have had to use our car to go to restaurant or pub which we didn't want to do.
Overall we had a lovely weekend and the weather good, if needed there was loads to do indoors plenty games and books also DVDs

“Probably the best rental cottage in Fife”

We spent a 5 night break in this wonderful cottage located seconds from the beach.
The owners have gone to some lengths to make it welcoming and accommodating and we couldn't think of anything we might need that wasn't already in place. Parking for a few cars in gated yard.
Pittenweem itself is ideally located for walks, general sightseeing and the garden is nice secluded if you just want to take it easy.
Highly recommended

“Idyllic location, excellent property, happy memories...”

Three friends and I had a very enjoyable 3 night stay over a long weekend in February. The house has an idyllic setting in the middle of a lovely little working fishing harbour and a line of superb old fashioned sea front fishermens' houses.

The house is literally a stone's throw from the beach and the long natural groynes looked to be perfect crabbing territory. Beautiful surrounding coastline (which we explored on a walk to the next village for a pint) and 3 miles or so from a cracking golden sand beach at Elie.

We were there largely for golf (and got lucky with the weather). We played a stunning course at Crail which set us up nicely for excellent local Pittenweem fish and chips and further beers.

I must say that the house itself is kept like someone's very loved home (which I'm sure it is) - very well equipped, good furniture (and comfy beds) and lots of very handy local guides, maps, birdbooks, games and spare sets of golf clubs.

There is also a very pretty, well kept and cleverly landscaped garden which creates a stunning visual impact as you arrive. I certainly would like to visit in BBQ season one day to use the top patio area with its sea views.

Highly recommended for all sorts of trips - family holidays, couples retreat, boys weekend of golfing (!), or just for visiting the area (perhaps for St Andrews which is only a 15 minute drive away).

Enjoy, we did!!
