What a wonderful dining experience :-) .We had heard such good feedback we decided to try the Pittenweem Inn for ourselves.
At the Pittenweem there are a few menus to choose from including the main menu, high tea, market and the special deal lunch menu.We opted for the set course lunch meal opting for three course for just over ten pounds. What a bargain.
On arrival, the place was immaculate, well decorated and blended the modern fresh decor with period features and history of the area. There were three dining areas and an outside terrace, all boasting comfortable eating in a great atmosphere. The owners have blended Ayrshire charm through artwork on the wall with a pebbled feature wall that they have restored lovingly this wall is a character feature of many buildings in the area.
Our hosts were welcoming and attentive-nothing was too much bother. The drinks were refeshingly cold and the meals were out of this world. They were well presented and contained the frehest of ingredients sourced locally. There was plenty to choose from in the set lunch menu and there was no scrimping, the plates were brimming full and were full of flavour and it was obvious that a lot of thought and care was put into the presentation and cooking of each meal. Our hosts were helpful and we sat for three hours just soaking up the atmosphere,I don't like being hurried and this is why I love visiting the Pittenweem customers come before tables, you aren't rushed along so they can get their next customers in.
We would highly recommend the Pittenweem Inn and we will be visiting again.Well done to the team here :-) .
