“Small, Simple yet Stunning”
Review of Bulog Island

Going here would take approx 1 to 2 hours boat ride from Coron Port... Its part of the Bulog, Banana and Malcapuya Island Hopping Tour...

The beach is very inviting because of its blue and clear waters with matching fine white sand... It also has a viewing deck, that would reveal the 360 degree view of the island... Bulog Dos is quite a small and simple island but definitely stunning. There's only 1 native hut available during my visit last March 2013 where you can look for shade or rest for awhile. During low tide you'll be able to see a sandbar connecting to the luxurious Two Seasons Hotel... Swimming in the same shore as that of the hotel with such a huge low price is definitely a jackpot.

A must see/try when in Coron...

it was a small island but it was nice to experience the sand bar as it was slowly disappearing from sight. really not much to do but to relax and appreciate what the sights have to offer. i, just sat on the sand bar, with half my body immersed into the water, and the other half enjoying the view

The last island we went to as part of the Island Escapade Tour. This pales in comparison to Malcapuya and Banana Island.
- Next to 2 Season's Hotel (luxury hotel) but not allowed to go there
- Small island, with sand bar.  Actually 2 islets, but one is private
- Shallow clear water, with small cliff-like structures
- Maybe good for photo shoot, but so-so for swimming. We didn't get to see much here

Just a sandbar away from Bulog Dos is the Two Seasons Resort which charges big $$$. Get the same fine white sand experience for the fraction of the cost by going with the tour that has Bulog island as one of the options. It was crowded with other tour groups when we got there, luckily after they had their pictures taken they went away very quickly. At last our very own private island. We just lazed around the very shallow water and snorkelled to our hearts content. While the corals were not the best in Coron, it was still good enough. Wear the life vest that the tour supplies you with so you can safely snorkell and also provides protection from the sun.

Malcapuya is better. Bulog Dos is the only public area. Bulog Uno is a private islet. At low tide, you'll see a sand bar connecting Bulog Dos to the uber-hyped Two Seasons Resort. Sand is white, but pebbled.
