When they make and cook the food, the smoke fills the room and chokes you. The food is ok but you have to wait a long time. I had to continually ask where the food was. They ran out of some drinks. The food comes out in drips and drabs. A bit frustrating when you are hungry. Wouldn't go back.

This place might be the best Philippino restaurant we ate at our entire stay. The shrimp Curry and this chicken pasta dish with vegetables were great. But the Chicken Adobo with coconut milk was fantastic. We had dinner there and went back for lunch the next day.

Service and luxury here are stripped back to the essentials, and don't even think about asking for a wine list. The menu is on the blackboards in front of the open kitchen, ad the decor is a symphony of plastic and formica underneath a large palm thatch roof. It is very much a sandals and t-shirt joint, but the beer is cold and the food is the most enjoyable we had while in Coron. Primarily it consists of hot plates in either sizzling or sisig style (with an egg you mix in to cook on the plate, but the fish and seafood is all local, and it is very well cooked with excellent use of herbs and spices. I fell in love with the Octopus sisig!

Don't be fooled by appearances - this is a very well-managed place with a real passion for the food it produces, and it shows. They apologised for the fact their veg are "imported' from Cebu, and then went on to explain they had just acquired 3 hectares to grow their own! I like that kind of focus.

Total cost for 2 of us (5 dishes, 4 beers) was around 40 quid. Love it.

Good local food with a daily specials board. Fair pricing, lots of seafood but also chicken and beef dishes. May have to share a table and service can be slow but really enjoyed the experience. The spicy squid and chicken adobo were especially good.
