Nice al fresco atmosphere. Food was delicious - the Baby back ribs is what brought us back. Sizzling green beans were also yum. Great value and good quality. Service was a little poor and the waiters could be a bit more attentive.

The place is cozy as it has your typical nipa hut as setting, complete with pretty lights that envelope the place as we went there for dinner. You'll be greeted by their courteous crew upon entering.. you must try their lobsters, kingcrabs, kilawin dishes & their sinigang na snapperfish ( the crew said it comes from the family of talakitok fish) as its yummy - they have big servings too (approx. good for 2-3pax/order but it really depends on your appetite). In case you ordered for crabs, the crew will show you first the raw crab & inform its weight & the cost if you're amenable before they prepare it to your desired dish variety. Though it's kinda pricey, the taste & setting compensates it.

After our dredded climb in Mt. Tapyas View Deck and soaking for hours in Maquinit Hot Spring, we ended our 1st day in Coron by dining at Santino's Grill, which is recommended by Ms. Dianne Palanca from Palanca Guest House, she said that the food in Santino's is good. We ordered BBQ and Prawns, IT WAS GREAT! The food is tasty, the BBQ sauce is excellent and tastes like a bbq from a known resto here in Manila and the prawns, heavenly. We would definitely come back to Coron and eat again here at Santino's.

Room for improvement:
The service is a bit slow, we have to wave to a waitress to get the menu.
Animals such as cats and dogs should not be allowed inside the premises. I got scared with the big dog scourging food inside the grill and another diner from another table have to scare it away before I can eat.

During 4 days in Coron, visited Santino's Grill twice. The place is located quite far from the main square, so take a tricycle to drive there - takes about 5-7 minutes.

Although the service was a bit slow, the food was great. As the name indicates, it is good to stick to the grill menu, although the other plates looked nice as well. Bistik Tagalog was super soft in a delicious sauce. Grilled ribs were huge and juicy.

Santino's Grill does not have a license to sell strong liquor, so only beer and wine is on the menu. Nevertheless, for a PHP 150 (ca 3 EUR) fee, they were happy to bring some rum from the store next door and serve it to the group.

You were right next to a sea and expect a fresh seafood but why show a frozen crabs? You know something is wrong and you know it's time not to expect and tell yourself "I have to research for a place to have dinner tmrw night." No more fruit shakes since they ran out of ice, no more prawns...so I settled with grilled tuna. I say that the meal was saved by a chilled "San Miguel Light." At least the staff here were friendly unlike those waitresses at La Sirenetta who couldn't care less.
