“Cute, colorful place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

Is a nice colorful place to stay in Coron, one of the advantages is the location, is out side downtown (only 5 min) and since Coron is a small town is easy to walk everywhere, so no need to stay in the middle of the noise in the centre, people in the hotel is very friendly and you can solve any problem just by asking, the first day, our toilet was not working well, we told them and they found an easy solution for us, clean not too big rooms, but with enough space for you luggage and things, we had very nice 4 days there.

How did we get to know of Princess of Coron? Because of tripadvisor. Well, anyway, we were a company of 18 persons who went to Coron for a company outing. And we searched for a place that could accommodate a big group that would not cost us as much. So we came to Princess of Coron for its reasonable price. Of course they only serve breakfast but how we wish they serve also lunch and dinner! We were also amazed how close it is to the city, the market, banks, and some local restaurants and is a stone's throw from the Mt. Tapyas Nature Park where you take about 700 steps to get to the top. They also arrange for our island hopping where we covered 6 swimming, and snorkeling sites. They also arranged for transfers to and from the airport at a reasonable price and which could be included in your bill. It is also a tricycle ride away from everything, including our most favorite Maquinit hot springs, the ferry station, the famous Native cashew nut seller "Coron Harvest", a few steps away from the Catholic church, City Hall, Kapemos restaurant and Kawayanan restaurant. Our stay was a blast. Except for one thing, we could not leave on the day of our departure because of the cancelled flight due to zero visibility because of rains. We are just too glad that Princess of Coron welcomed us back and as we did not have extra cash, they agreed to send us the bill (which they normally don't do) to our office. I thank Coron for having such a Princess! I thank the owners Erich and Carmen Hausmann, for their generosity. And would recommend this to friends whenever they go to Coron.

For a B&B place, the Princess of Coron has it all! Hot and cold tap...A/C rooms, cable TV, wifi, a small pool and a mini zoo of monkeys and cats! Yes, cats! The Harley hog and the Suzuki 750 was an added attraction plus the Afgan hound, the Labrador and the mixed breed ...
We had choices for breakfast and a stones throw from the town proper...
What really highlighted my stay was the small store accross called the Princess...a little girl by the name of Alexa. She was a good source of info from tours to sights and the transportation around town..she was everywhere! other guest loved her! She talks alot!
I'll be back...^^

This place is great! They gave us one of the rooms in the larger building. Our room was super spacious, as was the shower. We had a view, cable, internet. The best part is the huge monkey / cat enclosure right when you walk in. The staff was so accommodating the entire time. They even let us into the cage with the cats, who must be treated very well because they love people! We were close enough to Coron Proper Town but far enough that we didn't hear the motor bikes all night like some other travelers who were staying in the heart of Coron. The pool is clean and this property is beautiful at night when it's lit up. We were close to 24hr food and all the tours, as well as money changers and an internet cafe. Stay here!

Room Tip: Request a spacious room if available when you book because I think they're not all as big. I'...

I stayed in the standard room for 2 nights. For 1300 pesos the room was equipted with air con, fan & hot/cold shower which is reasonable for the price.
In Coron, there is no electricity from 6am till 6pm which means the aircon is out of action for that time. Princess of Coron does have a generator however which means you can still use the light and fan in that time.
The only reason I would not give this hotel a higher rating is the problem with the mosquitoes. There were loads of them flying around my room and I had to spray myself & the room with repellent to avoid being bitten. I did wake up with mosquito bites so perhaps they need to provide a mosquito net.
The hotel is only a 7 minute walk into town, if coming back late at night it's probably best to bring a torch with you. Also they have a big pool and plenty of deck chairs. I think the outdoor area is pretty decent.

Princess of Coron is awesome, and I would recommend it to anyone. It's about a 5-7 minute walk from the downtown area, which is great. I really liked that it wasn't near the main street because the main street was super noisy. There is no way I would have been able to get a good night's sleep if I stayed on the main street.

The staff is helpful if you need airport pickup or need to arrange a tour. I stayed in a standard room that had air conditioning, a fan, and hot water. Most other accommodations don't have good air and/or hot water.

The place itself is very charming and is kept looking really nice. The patio near the roof has some tables and chairs, so you can relax with a nice view.

The only criticism I have is that the service is a bit slow, but that is typical of the whole island of Busuanga.

Here's a tip about booking if you book through another site: Email them at princessofcoron@yahoo.com to make sure your booking went through. Sometimes their Internet is down, and they double book by accident. This happened to someone we met.

If you're going to go to Coron with a group of friends, this place is a bargain. Although rooms are for 2 (1,800 per night), it is capable of accomodating up to 8 people max. Each additional person costs only 200 php. You do the math, that saves a lot!

Rooms were really spacious, nice and clean. We had cable tv, warm shower, towels, etc... You can order breakfast from the receptionist the night before. Breakfast was reasonably priced and yummy. We had our breakfast during our whole stay here. Location-wise, it is also really near the town proper. We've tried walking to and from the town proper. Also, they can arrange your boat rentals and airport transfers for you. Really a convenience!

Oh and then there's the pool. Even if we had spent our whole day swimming, we still ended up swimming in the pool when we arrived back from our tour. :) We had loads of fun!

I don't think they have a website so if you want to book or inquire, contact them at princessofcoron@yahoo.com Also, book earlier as I heard there are only a few rooms.
