Thisis the best place to go to in coron. 8 of us traveled there and booke at the coron village lodge. Book early because a lot of people want to stay here. We stayed 4d/3n. Paid around php6000 each. This fee is all inclusive. We did not pay for any additional anything. We were fetched fro mthe airport, the food was amazing and the guides were superb. We did not worry about where t ofind transportation as everything was prepared for us (we got the package). A suggestion though: just bring your own snorkeling gear. ;)

Stayed for 3d/2n in this place. Ads in their web site tells that the place is an old residential place renovated to fit guest. Rooms needs a little renovation although I may say very clean. Staff are very courteous. Food is great. . big servings.

The hotel is nothing to shout about. I think the saving grace of this place is the staff who are generally friendly and helpful.

Water pressure is terrible. When we just check-in, our room doesn't even have water supply. This is not fix even after we came back from our Island Hopping.

Room is clean and decent which is good. Only the water pressure is killing me. There is no water every morning.

Do not expect to receive first class service here. Most of the staff have the poker face and though courteous when dealing with you, would not go the extra mile for you. Expect "robotic" service. Good thing you'll be out island hopping most of the day so your interaction with the staff would only be during meal times - unless you decide to eat somewhere else. Food is average and over-hyped by bloggers and past reviewers. Price of food is the same with restaurants in Manila. Though far from the airport (45mins-1hour), the place is convenient because it is near the port (5mins).

It is normal in Palawan to have intermittent electric current. So do not be surprised when you experience brownouts. This is bearable and the lodge has a generator. Generator is not powerful enough to run air conditioning though. Water pressure is also weak and sometimes runs out.

With regards to Palawan do not waste your time going to more islands where nothing could be seen/experienced and spend more time in islands/places that are worth your time.

My friends and I stayed in Coron Village Lodge on August 27 - 30, 2011. We booked three rooms. Room reservations were a breeze. I reserved by calling Ann of their Manila office. Hence we didn't encounter any hassle when we got to the lodge. Rooms are clean but I don't like that some rooms don't have a concrete wall, it's just a plywood wall wherein you could hear the noise from the other room and you really don't have privacy. Don't expect anything fancy, hotel-like, or world-class in terms of room quality though. But rooms are already quite good (except for the wall again) in terms of cleanliness and overall appearance. Food was Filipino home-cooked style, they didn't scrimp on their servings, we were even served afternoon snacks during our island hopping tour. Since we booked a package, also included were our island hopping activities. Our guide Jason was very friendly, accommodating, patient, and service-oriented. I would definitely give him a thumbs up for his excellent service.

Again, if there are two things this lodge could improve on, it would be the rooms, and the acceptance of credit cards, which they don't currently offer. They only accept cash as payment.

Room Tip: Request in advance that you want a room with decent concrete walls. Don't get the innermost roo...

Upon the recommendation of a friend of mine who stayed here mid last year, we decided to go with Coron Village Lodge for our choice of accommodation during a week-long trip to Coron.

We booked a 5 day, 4 night package with them, which included a triple room, tours, boat transfers, entrance fees, meals - basically everything we needed for the entire trip. For the convenience (everything arranged for us), exclusivity (we had our own tour guide, boat, tours), and the awesome food (some of the best we tried while in Coron), this place comes highly recommended.

For a more detailed review and pictures of the lodge, check out my blog post on this at http://bylinebylia.blogspot.com/2012/02/where-to-stay-in-coron-coron-village.html

Coron Village Lodge does not have the most fabulous accommodation (the rooms are simple but clean), BUT they have the most fabulous staff. The staff are very accommodating, answer our questions and requests in a very courteous manner, and we felt that they are very happy to serve us. The cook, when he found out that I was celebrating my birthday in Coron prepared a simple yet delicious seafood pancit (noodles) for me (thank you!). Our tour guide (his name is Carlo) is very knowledgeable of Coron, knows how to value and take care of the places that we visit, he even picked up garbage left by other tourists in the places we visit.

I will definitely stay in Coron Village Lodge again the next time I visit Coron.
