“Pleasant stay, quiet as the resort is on a separate island..”
Reviewed March 21, 2012

We arrived there around lunch, our flight was actually delayed, instead of being there before lunch, we arrived around 2pm. BUT, when we arrived, it was really sweet of them to have our lunch already prepared on the table and coconut drinks with lovely flower on it. We felt like we're VIPs that time! The staffs were all nice and very hospitable. All of them are friendly, they will greet you from time to time like how's your stay or good evening or good morning!

One of their amenities was the swimming pool which is open until 10pm only. I remember when we walked our way to the room, I looked back and saw the fantastic scenery of Coron and that view was just a door step away from our room.

We stayed in their Bungalow cottage, just because it's a cottage it doesn't mean that the room wasn't air conditioned but hey it was! Very cozy and clean. I still remember the nice smell of the room. BUT here's the thing, there were no walkway lightnings on that area, sooo you need to bring a flashlight when going to the lobby from the room or vice versa.

Talking about their rooms, I cannot complain anything, it was indeed very comfortable and the place is really very conducive for sleep, quiet, cool, nice air. The bathroom has hot and cold water, though the bathroom was a little bit old and some faucet were a little rusty.

Despite the fact that this island resort is isolated or secluded, the Wi-fi strength was good!! Amazing!! Though, there's no electricity from 9-5, but we weren't bothered by it as this was the usual time for island hopping and other activities.

If you want to party or have a drink at night, you have to arrange a boat going to the main town with a ride of about 10 to 15 minutes. You must get the number of the boatmen or the person who is in charge so that they can pick you up from there going back to the resort after having a good time. The boatmen by the way will not wait for you, they will go back to the resort and will for your text in order for them to pick you up, so there's no need to worry for the boatmen! We actually stayed here last Nov 2010, it's enticing to give them a review they deserve.

Room Tip: Choose a room that is near by the pool or the lobby area. Some rooms that are located at far have da...

The resort is just so, so... It's an ok choice compared to other hotels, but I think I'd give Hilltop resort a try next time.

Pros:
1- The food is delicious and the price of the food is reasonable (same price if you're going to order it from a good resto in manila).
2- It is the closest resort to coron town proper that already has the island view of coron. Other resorts are in coron town itself and I think the point of going to coron is to enjoy nature s better be on the beach.

Cons:
1- The toilet smells a bit but it's not dirty. I wonder where the smell comes from.
2- Aircon is too noisy so we decided not to use it.
3- The bed foam is not as comfy as one would expect. Plus the linens are ordinary.
4- Rooms are cleaned only if you advise the staff, and we had calauit tour so we have to leave early which didn't give us the chance to advise the staff to clean our room.
5- Only have scheduled shuttles to the airport which forced us to leave the resort early. Too bad we just had 2 nights stay.

We've stayed here for three days and two nights to celebrate my birthday/summer vacation. The place was great its different to the other pension house in the town proper. Here you can relaxed and feel the perfect ambiance that you need for your vacation you will feel the difference from the town proper/city because its isolated and very solemn. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating and they have a good service. The food was great and in reasonable price we ate the Red Crabs and Shrimps very delicious and the coffee are unlimited and the breafast are buffet. Our rooms typical but good. Total package super nice vacation slash birthday experience... thanks for Dive link..

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the Swimming Pool and because its near on the Restuarant... and its has high s...

Despite the fact that we took a packaged deal, it didn't feel that way. We were treated like queens here. The food was good, the staff were soooooo friendly and sooooooo accomodating. If we wanted extra dessert and they had some in their kitchen, they gave it to us. The location is perfect because it's just a 10min boat ride from the mainland. The view is awesome from the top. Despite the "no electricity from 9-5", it wasn't so bad as we were so busy the entire day with our tours (which was also part of that package). By the time we got back, all we had to do was swim in the pool and wait for the lights to turn on. Not bad. If we wanted massages, they got them for us. We wanted to sing Videoke (don't ask why ;)) and they led us to their bar that was somewhat separate from the main area. Awesome. no one to hear us when we sing our hearts out.

Had the bathrooms been great i would have colored all circles. It wasn't so bad, but it could've been so much better. There were leaks all over the bathroom so the floor was constantly wet. But that's just about the only negative comment. The rooms were very simple but quite comfortable. Just your basic necessities.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for people who are seeking to go to Coron on a budget but don't want to scrimp on quality. You don't need to go to El Nido to enjoy Coron..this was perfect enough..you just have to rough it just a tad bit :)

This was the highlight of our trip . Chose this hotel for the seclusion. So we were not disappointed to hear we had to take the boat back to the hotel by ten I think. I don't know if there was much to do on the other side at night because we did not experience it but It was nice to be on the island with my wife and friend. In the morning we got up and went to pick up mangoes of the ground and some fruit I had never seen before but they were good. It was nice to explore the island.
The staff where very nice and helpful. I liked the pool, but if you decide to go in I would highly recommend you to be very very careful walking to and from the pool the stairs are very slippery and someone in our party fell on her behind walking down the stairs to the pool.

Room Tip: The stairs and way to pool are slippery.- Pick the fruit of the trees -the baby mangoes are great...

Dive Link staff are super nice, very helpful, and ultra accommodating, from the resort's boat men to the housekeeping staff to the restaurant staff and even the Managers-in-charge! Rooms are clean, linen smell good and clean, VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR regardless of the time of day! Location is perfect as it is not near the "city" where the tricycles were...so you just hear the waves and the breeze. We brought our 3 kids aged 9, 5, and 3...facilities were kid-friendly and so they had FUN! Food was reasonably-priced and the staff were flexible with special meal requests. Super perfect combination (along with Air Phil) for the discounted tour package we availed of.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms fronting the beach or the pool area... :-)

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the views are AMAZING. This is not a 5 star resort in a big name destination. It is a nice, 3 star resort in a small town.

This is the perfect spot for someone looking for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of town. Best for couples and groups of people traveling together. Not great if you want to meet people and hang out after a day of diving.

The hotel has a free ferry and will take you back and forth to town as needed. But the last ferry is at 10PM, so you have to end your evenings early. Dive shops will pick you up at the Resort's private dock. I dove with Oliver Tenino (Currently with Corto Divers) and he was GREAT.

Room Tip: Bungalows are not expensive and much more private.
