This hotel is ideal for getting ready to hit the border into Cambodia. Just around the Corner was a fantastic food stall that did the most delicious noodles we had in Thailand thus far.

The rooms here are adequate, a little worn out but fine . good shower .

Breakfast was just perfect. Fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order Toast and Thai favorites.

When you head for the border, be wary of the scams and con artists that start with the tuk tuk drivers outide the Hotel.

The Tuk tuk drivers will take you to a Visa meat shop where you will quickly get your Visa for Cam. That is actually a bonus. but comes at a small premium. From there you are just open to being exploited. you will be told that You need Thai Baht to exchange into Reais as all the banks in Cambodia dispense US dollars only and then you get overcharged for the goods as its not local currency. This is BS. You can get the free tourist shuttle from the border to the bs station and get a minivan for $10 to Seam reip. Not an $80 taxi journey or 7 hours bus ride, its all nonsense. I checked the rate of exchange at the exchange ofice in the bus terminal that altough charged no commision on Baht to Reais conversions cost you 24% of your original bankroll to exchange. cyrrent rate was 1 baht = 130 reias their rate was 1 for 104.

so make your own way to the border crossing and immigration. Good luck.

Quite a good hotel apparently the best in the area, didn't see many there's a cheap one around the corner. Well positioned for an early start into Cambodia, theres taxis, tuk tuks etc on the square at the rear of the hotel. Few places to have a drink within 100m. Security allows you to park your car for a few days while in Cambodia, small backhander required. Restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced, cheaper to drink outside.

We were just passing through and found it as satisfactory. No swimming pool or gym, but nice clean and comfy. Reception area looks beter than the rooms but, still no complaint. WiFi not working anywhere really but after a bit of negotiation we have connected to the cables at the receptions at no extra charge. On our way back we satying in again so it could not be that baaad.

This is the first tripadvisor review I have written. I felt compelled to write, as I am currently staying in this hotel, trying to sleep and listening to the loudest and most horrendous karaoke I have ever heard. After complaining once to reception, nothing has been done. Our room overlooks the karaoke room and there is nothing but a thin pane of glass separating us from the racket. I can safely say I will never stay here again, and most definitely will not be recommending it.

If you arrive by train or bus, the location is next to the local market, and just a couple minutes walking radius of town. Built 3 stories in standard international style with grand marble lobby, the hotel is well worn, shabby and tawdry, but still an attractive choice. Rooms are clean, which is important. Only stay at rival Indochina if you have a car (and desperate for a pool). But as we wrote earlier, Indochina doesn't always honor a reservation! Deluxe rooms larger and look outside; standard rooms dark, small and face inner courtyard. Wifi free but intermittent. asianfoodtours.com & Globetrotting Gourmet. If you are happy with motel over full hotel service, go to cute and trendy Le Blocs, but you will need a car.

Room tip: There are three cute "sala" covered picnic tables out in the car park, so grab take-away street food, then return to the hotel and order a drink from the hotel restaurant for a fun al fresco meal.
