They picked us up at our front door and brought as back home after our tour, which was really nice! =) The guides were extremely friendly and accommodating! The zip lines are done in a way that make you feel completely safe! The scenery was beautiful. The guides are hilarious and have so much fun while working while they also ensure you have as much fun as they do and are safe as well! The pictures and videos they take throughout the lines are awesome as well! Overall, if you are in the area, this is a definite thing to do! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

The reviewers are right on the money about Pura Aventura. Diego and the other guides make the day fun and safe. We have ziplined a few times in the states and not a single place is as safe it was at Pura Aventura. The views are also amazing. When you arrive, there are beautiful, well-taken care of horses on the farm. You take a truck up into the mountains and on the way, the guides chat and make sure to show you the wildlife, the monkeys and iguanas. There is a quick and really useful safety talk and then off you go. There are 11 lines, some long, and some short, but all of them are fun and some of them give you a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains and from one you can even see the ocean. We are glad we made the time to get to Pura Aventura.

My 14-year old daughter heard from friends that zip lining was a must do activity when visiting Costa Rica. While staying just outside Tamarindo, we researched various tour providers for this unique experience. We chose Pura Aventura based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed! Pura Vida distinguished itself in the following ways and I highly recommend giving them a try:
1. They allow you to book and pay online which means they accept credit cards (one company in Nosara insisted on cash only, a huge sum of cash for a party of nine);
2. If you book online, you receive a DVD replete with photos and videos of your adventure, a wonderful keepsake. Allows you to enjoy the zip lining without preoccupying yourself with capturing each moment on film;
3. Pura Aventura included a pick up and drop off service in its price package. Their rates are extremely competitive and not having the responsibility of finding the locale and driving there allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the experience. This alone was worth the price of admission;
4. The tour ended with a platter of fresh fruit and cold water. They even gave the two men in our group, eager for a cup of java, free cups of coffee;
5. Diego, the group leader, and his gang are kind, friendly, experienced, fun and safety conscious. They definitely added to the overall experience. Tip them if you can. They deserve it!
Our group ranged in age from 5 to 49 and each and every one of us had a terrific time. You will be glad you had the experience of sailing over tree canopies 1400 feet in the air. Pure freedom and exhilaration!
By the way, the bathrooms were clean and modern as well and the upstairs cafe had free wireless Internet access.

You won't get a better view of the Costa Rican canopy than on a zip line. I loved my day with pura adventura!! Diego and his boys took great care of me, even fitting me with a special harness so I wouldn't spin like a top through the canopy. You must zip line with these lads if you have the chance.

We had a great time, the zip lines were a lot of fun, you really sail high above the tree tops across the valleys. The tour guides really made the trip a lot of fun. Like others have said, they were always professional and were clearly enjoying their job every step of the way. We talked about each others cultures (we told them about cheese heads and they also wanted to know what a redneck was) and they pointed out hard to find wildlife on the tour. We had a nine year old, twelve year old and my parents who are in their sixties. Pura vida!
