We stopped for a meal on hte way back from a bit of walking in Glen Shee having had a recommendation to try the food.

I have to say I'm pleased we did. Nice pleasnat surroundings, coal fire, friendly service and a good selection of good food.

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet possibly due to the season which was a bit late on for summer walkers and still too little snow for skiers. If you are hungry and are in the area then give it a try, you shouldn't be disappointed.

The Bridge of Cally Hotel is set in a very rural, beautifaul area. Its rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. Their breakfast is good and the offer porrige and smoked Haddock. There is a restaurant and the meals are excellent, especially the ones on the Chiefs special menu. It is a family run hotel and you get that human touch not found in a big chain. There are long and short walks from the hotel and plenty to do just a short car ride away.

We stayed here for 4 nights on a family holiday and from the first moment everything was fantastic. The service was great, the staff were always friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. We were a party of 9 and everybody felt the same way about the hotel. The are plenty of day outings from here and the walks from the hotel are beautiful. Great place.

We booked a table for 6.30pm on a mid October Tuesday.

The table had been made ready for our arrival. The had been a mini beer festival the previous weekend. None of us are wine buffs so we took the opportunity to sample various beers & ciders.
The comprehensive menu more than satisfied eleven differing tastes.

The well presented food arrived in good time.

After the meal I only heard positive comments on both food & the service.

What a gem! We stayed at the hotel for my birthday and it was idyllic. We had a bright, clean & modern room with a lovely big bath and comfy bed. Dinner was amazing - beautifully cooked food with a great choice on the menu and breakfast was wonderful too!. Staff were really friendly and the hotel itself was set in stunning countryside. We will be back in the spring to explore the walks around the hotel more. Highly recommended!
