We hoped for a good genealogy connection and got MUCH more! Our experience with Sean Quinn and his My Ireland Heritage Team, greatly exceeded our highest expectations! The entire journey was personalized, by planning with Sean and Aishling well in advance. They took time to understand our objectives and interests, then offer options/advice that was assembled into a plan to assure that the wishes of all 5 members of our party would be addressed. Sean was able to orchestrate an experience at our pace, which was to cover about as much as one could, in only 7 days. From the Day of our arrival, it was clear that Sean was well-organized, professional, and able to keep us moving on a pace that let us take everything in. We have never met a man so sincerely passionate about history, his country, and for making this the best-ever experience for his clients. Positive energy, all the time!

From the genealogy side, Sean did a tremendous amount of research to help connect the missing dots on the who, what, when of our Irish ancestors... all paying off in us being able to see the specific land they worked, the actual churches where the great-greats weddings & baptisms took place and even enabled us to talk to distant cousins who live there still today. But, more than that, Sean was a fountain of knowledge on Irish history (from ancient, to recent), cultural evolution, fair/balanced views of Irish politics, and everything on the natural beauty of Ireland. Facts, figures, and insight rolled off his tongue throughout the experience, enriching the context of all we did. As he had emphasized while planning, it's much more than just putting together family trees... it's also about understanding what leads our ancestors to live as they did and make the choices they made, which ultimately led to OUR existence... he was both entertaining and educational. What a wonderful resource!... Without a doubt, Sean could have been a great history professor!

From a touristy side of things, he got us through all the more-famous sites (castles, cliffs, monasteries, famine ship, etc.), with planning to miss the long lines, but even more impressive was his insight on out-of-the-mainstream places and personal connections that granted us access, even off-hours (original building the Book of Kells was written in; tour of privately owned defense tower; and more).

We could go on, but suffice to say that Sean, Aisling and Ian made our journey through Ireland among the best possible experiences of our lives. They not only delivered professionally, but throughout the considerable time we've spent with them, we're also happy to call them friends! WELL DONE!

From the time we stepped off the plane to the time Sean dropped us off at our hotel, seven days later, Sean Quinn and his team treated us to first-class Irish hospitality. Our main reason for using Sean was for the family heritage aspect of our trip, and he did not disappoint! From his knowledge of Irish history to his knack of finding sites and people important to our family, to his sense of humor, Sean kept us surprised and satisfied.

Even as a guide to the all-out tourist attractions of Ireland, Sean took the extra effort to get us where we should be and when we should be there to beat the crowds. Plus, he seemed to have an "in" at those difficult-to-get-to attractions.

I would highly recommend Sean and My Ireland Heritage to anyone interested in their Irish roots. With Sean and his team, we found sites that we could have never located on our own.

I can't talk highly enough about Sean Quinn and his daughter Aisling. From start to finish they made me feel so comfortable and made me very aware this is my family and my heritage. Sean is very passionate about his country and he loves exploring your family history. Even with time differences (I Live in New Zealand) I was able to talk to him on the phone and emails were answered very quickly. When his research was finished he managed to send me a manuscript about his findings. It was great to be able to read this so when I arrived in Ireland I had some background knowledge but still had a lot of unanswered questions. Which I must add are no longer unanswered. I will be forever grateful for this experience and through his research was able to meet a cousin. The highlight of my trip.
The county Meath tour was absolutely amazing as I said before Sean has a passion for his country and certainly knows it's history which he bought to life for us all my husband, our son and myself. He tried and succeeded to include our son and his likings as well.
Well done to you both, you certainly made our trip a great experience and one we shall not forget. For a small family business you do and go beyond what you advertise.
We thank you with all our hearts and hope to see you in New Zealand one day.
Cheers Denise

Our family vacation to Ireland was beyond perfect thanks to My Ireland Heritage and Sean Quinn! The purpose of our Irish Adventure was to see where our ancestors lived and walk the land in which they came from. Our eleven day adventure took us throughout the country and our final stop was in Moydoo, where our Callahan and Kevil ancestors lived.
Sean researched the area and was able to drive us around the county pointing out several things unique to our trip and the area. Sean contacted the people who were best able to provide answers to particular questions pertaining to our family. He used this local knowledge in the areas we visited to ensure that we had the best experience possible.
Sean was able to put us in contact with the local priest who in turn gave us a tour of the church that our Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandparents were Baptized and Married in. We saw the original Baptismal and Marriage records of our ancestors. Sean even located and introduced us to another direct descendent of our Callahan/Kevil clan. We were able to tour the house on the farm where our ancestors came from. Just imagine standing in your Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandparents living room. We were able to experience that.
The tour that My Ireland Heritage gave our family combined exceptional research with the opportunity of walking in the footsteps of our ancestors. Sean cares for his clients and is a true master of his craft. He has a deep love for his country and its rich history. We saw things most tourists never see. We would not have been able to have such an amazing, in depth learning experience if it were not for Sean Quinn and My Ireland Heritage. My Ireland Heritage provides a one of a kind experience and an affordable opportunity to see your family history. If you wish to find your Irish roots, we recommend My Ireland Heritage as the tour company to use.

On day one Sean of My Ireland Heritage met us at our gate at Dublin airport – Because he had worked for the airlines for years before going into business for himself he knows the workings of the airport intimately. This made the arrival and departure process from Dublin as easy as possible for us. He was able to help us maneuver lines, never let us carry a bag, helped with money conversion, etc… and he was always kind, patient and so knowledgeable. More than once we told him he should have been a history teacher. The purpose of our trip to Ireland was to see the places where our ancestors had lived and to get a feeling for the land and the people that they had been. We went to Waterford to see where our Lovett family had lived, to Raharney/Kilucan to see the land of our Flanagan ancestors, we went to Glinsk/Kilbegnet where our Croghan family had lived for centuries and to Limerick to see where the Hartigans and Griffins lived before the famine either killed or drove them away from their homeland to America. Sean knows the back roads and had done his research well before we arrived so he knew which farm fields we had to hike through to see old cemeteries; he had made arrangements to have old churches open for us. He even located and introduced us to the descendent of one of our Griffin ancestors. Even though our purpose was genealogy, we also saw the amazing beauty and majesty of Ireland: Giants Causeway, New Grange, Trim Castle, historic Dublin, Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, Lakes of Killarney, Kenmare Stone Circle, Carrick on Shur in Waterford, and so much more. Sean knows and loves his country and seems to delight in teaching and showing it to others. We highly recommend “My Ireland Heritage” as the best tour company in Ireland.
