It's as lovely as it is the photo's! Quiet, relaxing and masses of space for the kids to roam. The safari tent is well thought out and lots of extras to help your holiday be less stressful. Wood burners wonderful and fire pit fun. Logs provided to make life easier. Great place.
Our hosts were incredibly helpful and their attention to detail was second to none. From the most delicious homemade [complimentary] brownies and bottle of wine on arrival, through to the most elegant of touches, winning over my children instantly, with marshmallows left for us, along with the BBQ set; as well as tasty food available to pre-order, available on arrival
The accommodation is luxurious, even by glamping standards, with comfortable beds, high quality bedding, plenty of room and a hot shower; that said, the kids had a genuine sense of the great outdoors; lighting fires, bbqing, gathering wood and playing on the 20ft long swing, hanging from a tree.
Surrounding area is beautiful, with myriad amenities near by. It is though sufficiently isolated, for me to have felt comfortable, leaving my 10 and 6yr olds to venture into the woods and play, with limited adult supervision
Happy to recommend
We followed Buffy's excellent directions and were very warmly welcomed by her and shown to our wonderful tent! We have camped many times before but this is a completely different experience - superbly comfortable beds (fabulous duvets and pillows) with top quality linens and towels, a very well thought out kitchen, with everything you need (including properly sharp knives), a lovely sitting and dining areas and a superb bathroom with an excellent hot shower! And the view... The tents are located in the most perfect English countryside and the outlook is astonishing. This is glamping at its very, very best. Buffy has thought of every detail - and is on hand to help with everything from understanding how the stoves work (the bathroom stove gives you plenty of hot water for indulgent showers!) to the best pubs within walking distance. You really feel that the tents have been fitted out with a lot of thought, care and attention to detail - and that makes for such a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank you so much, Buffy - we will be back!
Myself and five friends had the pleasure of staying in the very hidden and secluded yellow hammer safari tent for my sisters Hen weekend. Buffy was incredibly accommodating from the initial enquiry through to meeting us on arrival. We were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco and homemade cake which really added to the already special and idyllic setting. The attention to detail that had gone into making guests feel comfortable did not go unnoticed. The tent was so well equipped with all basic essentials and imeanities covered. The views were stunning, with fantastic countryside walks in all directions. We were very sad to have to leave and there is no doubt that we will be returning with our families now that we have discovered it!!
The two safari tents are sat in a private field with wonderful views across the Meon Valley which is an idyllic and peaceful setting for a relaxed weekend away.
The tent itself is very well equipped with everything that you need to be comfortable - a huge king size bed with an enormous duvet, big fluffy white towels and a kitchen that has all the tools that you need to cook a meal either on the wood burning stove or outside on the BBQ.
Although the tent is designed for six people, I would say that it would be most comfortable with a maximum of four adults and two children if you are really used to having your own space.
A huge novelty factor was the outside bathroom which has a wood burner to heat the water. Such a luxury having a shower and a composting loo. However if there were six of you then you would probably either need to shower together or just hop in for a very quick wash as you forget easily that you are not at home and hot water is limited!
My tip would be to start the wood burners as soon as you arrive to ensure that you have hot water and also to bring lots of candles plus a few torches. Although there are lots of candles provided, you can never have too many given that they and the lamps provided are your only source of light.
I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to return.
I had the chance to spend 4 wonderful nights in this very special place together with my sister and my elderly dad. Buffy prepared a very warm and welcoming arrival for us including flowers, cake and bubbles. Everything was perfectly arrange and super clean and the space is very cleverly thought through.
I would recommend this place to everyone since it is also very accessible for elderly people.
Thanks Buffy for everything - we spend a wonderful time at your place!
