My experience getting the OWC with Ian from Tropical Divers was amazing. Ian’s patient and calming demeanor enabled me to overcome my long standing fear of deep water. Ian took the time to explain each scenario above water and made me comfortable under water to perform them myself. He is native to Bohol with well over 200 dives in local area. Don’t miss their location at the far end of Alona Beach...Highly recommend!!

I recently completed my PADI open water here on a trip to the Philippines. We were in the sea from the get go (no pool so it helped us get used to the environment).
We advised Alex that we only had 3 days, so wanted to complete in this time and they were more than accommodating. Lucky for us there was a good 1:1 ratio which meant we had the attention and support we needed.
My friend decided part way through that it wasn’t her, and they tried to make her as comfortable as possible with the water before she changed her mind. It would have been good to have more familiarisation if we had more time to complete the course and I’m sure they would have helped us out with that.
Passed first time and got to see some amazing things! Only thing to suggest would be a variation of dive sites. We went to the same house reef for all 4 dives so would have been good to experience somewhere else.

Alex and team have done a fabulous job in setting up with this awesome dive shop. They are organized, clear in communication and have the best equipment. We did our open water and advanced refresher courses and it was the best decision to go with Tropical Divers. Alex himself is one of the best dive instructor i have come across and i would recommend to everyone.
Diving in Bohol ? Dive with Tropical !
