Service sucks! Mediocre food! No general manager, not even a resident manager in sight. Pretentious "exclusive" hotel. Very bad food service experience for us. Their policy is only two towels per room, they expect the kids to share towels with parents. Duh!!!

Bluewater_Adie, General Manager at Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort, responded to this reviewResponded June 16, 2013

Dear Alen_go555,

We are very sorry about the poor food service situation during your stay. Admittedly, there were lapses in our delivery. The problem causes and personal comments you gave to our Duty Manager were reviewed and will take necessary steps to correct these.

It is unfortunate that I was on family leave at the time of your visit. But with or without my presence, this situation could have been prevented given the systems we have in place. We have given staff involved due process and appropriate disciplinary actions, where ever appropriate. More stringent training and supervision will be given to make sure we deliver on our service promise.

Regarding room amenities, initial appropriations are made based on standard set-up. Reasonable requests for extra amenities based on room occupancy should have been granted.

Again, we apologize for what happened and want to assure you that this does not represent the service we are committed to provide at the resort. This will only give us more resolve to be more proactive to our Guest requirements.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please contact me directly at telephone (038) 416-0702 or email at adie.gallares@bluewater.com.ph.

Respectfully,

Christian Adrian Gallares

We stayed for 3 nights in a Premier Deluxe room and the last 2 nights in the Honeymoon Pool Villa. Over the years I have become a very discerning traveller partly due to the fact that recently, I can hardly take time away from work, and this was just the perfect getaway. The rooms are comparatively more spacious, very clean, elegant, with a touch of class while preserving and capturing the most natural ambiance.

The staff and the resident manager have truly made our stay an unforgettable “home away from home” one-of-a-kind holiday of a lifetime. Thank you again for catering to our every whim.

At the end of each day, we always looked forward to coming back to the resort and to our room/villa after spending the day of sightseeing, or after a day away from the hustle and bustle and crowd of Alona Beach.

To top it all, their food was the best! Try their signature dish Hinalang na Manok....

We’d been around the island as well, did occular visits to other resorts, ate at some of the finest restaurants, but I must say with all sincerity that nothing beats Panglao Bluewater Resort, it was definitely for us, the best in the island!

Ok, there is only one thing to understand, yes it is nice but there is no reason to justify the incredibly high price

There are many other nice places to stay this place is extremely overpriced. If you want to throw your money away feel free to stay at Blue Water

The most expensive does not mean the best by the way

No matter how much money you spend in Bohol, you will only get a certain level of service. Not 5 stars more like 3 compared to any other hotels in Asia

If youre travelling as a family, you will love the big rooms and the really, really nice and big bathrooms! The big "floating bed" is always a conversation piece and don't forget to appreciate the bamboo weaved ceiling of the retaurant gazebo -- truly fine Filipino craftmanship! Food is ok but i think they need to increase the waiter-to-table ratio as its always difficult to call their attention. The pool is big but it's right in the middle of the room clusters so all the noise can be heard from the rooms. There is a little view of the beach but the area right in front of the hotel is rocky and you have to go to the nearly resorts if you really want to swim. The place is a bit hidden but the way there is pretty congested with the long line of resorts and local restaurants.

Room Tip: The standard room is big enough for 4 pax so you dont need to upgrade . The room is actually the best part of the whole experience

The resort tucked away in some secluded area of Panglao which is great for people who want to avoid the crowd at Alona Beach, while other comments posted are true (no beach), they definitely made up for it thru the pool and rooms! If you miss the beach, Alona Beach is just about 10 mins away via the resorts van.

Room: big measuring 68 sqms, our room had a hanging king sized bed
Bathroom: had a bath tub which which has a sky light

Food: Aplaya restaurant serves great food but pricey as well. I would recommend trying the Boholano Kinampay dessert, its soooo good, we wanted to have more.

Overall, the resort is great and will definitely go back for more!
