Argil cottage was so cosy and comfortable. The cottage is situated near to some lovely places like Helmsley, Pickring and Malton. The interior was very clean and the beds were very comfortable with lovely bedding. As it was Easter when we visited Kathy had left us 4 small chocolate eggs. There was also fresh eggs, fudge and biscuits for us on our arrival. We ate out at some lovely restaurants which are just a 15 minute drive from the cottage. I would definitely book this cottage again .

“Even better than the photos!”
Reviewed October 28, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We loved this tasteful, homely and spacious cottage. Every room is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could wish for. Lots of extra touches made this an outstanding holiday home. There are lovely countryside views from the kitchen and a pleasant patio area at the back of the house. Our choice for half term was Paris or Argil Cottage!! We made the right choice!

“Half Term in North Yorks”
Reviewed November 7, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

This is a superb cottage - tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable and well equipped. It's in a great location, within easy distance of most of the area's attractions (though you will need a car!). Me, my partner and 4 year old daughter stayed here and had a lovely time, becoming quite attached to the place very quickly. Kathy is a superb host, and her little 'added extras' were extremely thoughtful and welcome. Would recommend without hesitation, just thank my lucky stars we managed to get this at such late notice.

Kathy has done a really lovely job with this cottage, very nicely equipped, great location for the moors, Whitby, the coast and York. Lovely soft beds, nice little touches like welcome drinks and biscuits. Recommended.

“An absolute gem”
Reviewed July 20, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Our whole experience started with excellent customer service. Then arriving at the cottage to be greeted by a smiling 'Kathy' made us feel totally at home. The cottage is truly beautiful with tasteful furnishings and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a stay away from home. The immaculate kitchen had lovely views over the adjoining fields, and passing through the utility we enjoyed lots of sunshine in the fully equipped patio area. As an added extra there is a large garage housing garden chairs and barbecue if required. A two minute stroll up the street was a local pub with excellent pub grub.

The bedrooms had very comfortable beds with crisp quality bedding and the bathroom was fully stocked with fluffy white towels. We booked mainly for the convent location to Flamingo land which was ideal for us to spend the day with our young grand-daughter, however we cant wait to return on our own to spend some time in the beautiful countryside and visiting the whole area again which has an abundance of pretty villages/tearooms/places of interest.

To summarise this is a quality property at a reasonable price which more than deserves its rating. Thanks Kathy for making us feel so welcome.
