French hospitality in Lombok

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 12, 2018via mobile
This was definitely our best stay in Lombok. Even better then the 4* hotel we stayed in after Tetebatu. Katie and Thomas and their team made this place feel like home and make everybody in the house feel so comfortable. Besides this the place lookes amazing.
Several treks and trips are offered (excellent guides!) and they can arrange pick-up from everywhere at lombok against a very reasonable price.
Breakfast is very good and there’s a possibility for lunch/dinner as well. Don’t look any further when you go to Tetebatu! Definitely worth paying a bit more than all the other ‘homestays’.

We were recommended this place by Lara of Lara's Homestay, Kuta, Lombok when she heard we were heading to Tetabatu. We arrived at Les Rizieres and instantly fell in love with it. Thomas and Katie are fabulous hosts and their guest house is something to be proud of. The setting is simply stunning and the hang out space would have to be described as perfect. The food was amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful and our room was perfect. Thomas and Katie gave us great tips for exploring Tetabatu and surrounds and took care of arranging things for us. I can't wait for my next opportunity to go back there!

What's not to like about Les Rizieres? Our room was ample and beautifully decorated with magnificent views to the rice fields (Superior Family Room I think), the owners are friendly, as well as, their fun loving dogs. The food was also very good and the walk they offer awesome. They also plan for other activities, which we couldn't take advantage of due to time constrains.

If there is anything I must say is that food preparation takes a bit long. Dinner was served around 8pm or later the two nights we stayed, breakfast after 8am and no tea or coffee available in the room.

Room tip: Choose the family superior room, even if just a couple for best views.

Very cosy place to stay in the middle of a small Lombok Village close to the start of Rinjani trekking. Thomas and Katy are very friendly host, always prepared to help and give good advice. They also give lunch and diner, prepared with love. For breakfast you surely have to taste the crepes. The rooms are tasteful decorated and very clean.

Staying here just like at home. Clean rooms, surroundings, calm n chilling atmosphere, 3 friendly dogs (Lulu, Madu & Mini) and good food too! The owner (Thomas & Katie) are so helpful with everything from our stay here and around Tetebatu. They’re French couple living there for more than 3 years, and they speak decent Bahasa Indonesia too. Defenitely the thing we’ll miss from our Lombok trip.

We didnt sleep here, but came for a dinner and booked a whole-day tour through the rice fields with one of their guides.

The food was very good and the (French) owners are helpful and friendly. The tour we did was amazing, theire employee guided us through ricefields, a waterfall, the monkeyforest and local villages. He also explained different flowers, plants, harvesting methods, etc.

      Defenitately a recommendation!
