We have just spend a Christmas and New Year in this lovely villa with a family of 10 ranging in age from 8 to 75! This trip will be a memory of a lifetime thanks in part to the Villa Dulcinea and our wonderfull hosts.
So about the location. It is located in the Eastern side of the island (much more preserved far away from traffic and the hustle and bustle of modern cities - just what we were after). You do need a car (but you would need one anywhere on the island, not a lot of sidewalks)! Every day we woke up to the sound of the birds, the wind, the ocean and fell asleep under an amazing starry sky - with no light pollution, it was absolutely gorgeougs. Bonus: on New Year's eve we got to see the fire works in St. Bart's, St. Martin right from our porch! You have a beautiful ocean view so a great way to start the morning with a cup of coffee on the porch overlooking the ocean! The beach is very close (2-3 minutes walk), but you can's swim, but you can go for a nice walk / hike! In spite of being in a more secluded part of the island, anything you might need is just a few minutes away : Best Buy supermarket, the best French bakey on the island (awesome croissants!) and the gorgeous Shoal Beach (best snorkling on the island). Anguilla is really not that big, so everything is a short drive away.
The house itself is true to photos and very spacious. I really liked the layout with the living room right in the middle for everyone to meet for meals / drinks or just to hang out. Kitchen is well equipped with everything one might need (there were also quite a few supplies like sugar, coffee, spices). Wifi worked perfectly well even with many-many users. Only two of the rooms are equipped with AC, the rest of the house has fans: depending on individuals, some might find it a bit too warm. There is still some work being done on the house, but nothing that bothered us, and I am sure it will only get better.
Overall, I would say excellent value for money.
I cannot say enough about our hosts! They have given us lots of advise about the island and helped us get a wonderful catered meal for Christmas (Fat Cat is the place to do it!). They left a Christmas tree and toys for us to much delight of the kids who were very happy to decorate it. They answered all our questions and have been very helpful before and during our stay! Thank you!!!!!
We had a great time and hope we might come back one day!
My family and I spend 9 days at this amazing villa. The rooms were spacious enough to hold 10 people comfortably and with room to spare. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. The magic Jack phone provided was convenient, but it did stop working after a few days. The satellite tv never worked properly. Thank goodness I brought my laptop because that's what the kids used for entertainment. But the good thing was that we were in Anguilla for the festival so we didn't spend a lot of time at the villa. My family is from Anguilla so we spent a lot of time reconnecting with family. I would definitely stay here again on a vacation.
Wow what a spectacular villa. With views of St. Martin Flat Island and St Barts. So spacious with bathrooms you would love to sleep in.Great living space for the whole family. The surrounding beaches are wonderful peaceful and breathtaking. Will definitely visit this villa again. We miss it already.
If your on a budget, this house will serve your needs. We spent 8 days beach hopping and used the villa for nothing more than a place to lay our heads. Bedrooms and bathrooms were awesomely spacious with 2/4 rooms having AC. Two rooms without AC we're a little uncomfortable, especially when the sun rose but knew that going in. Villa is off the beaten path, but easy to find, but you need to rent a car, preferably a jeep. 10 minutes to Island Harbour and 15 to SBE. Could use more out door seating as the porch wraps around but not a negative by any means.
Thanks for sharing your villa with us.

My wife, three daughters (8, 11, 13) and I stayed at Villa Dulcinea several years ago. We spent nearly two weeks enjoying the house and the island.
- four spacious bedrooms
- wonderful, fully stocked kitchen
- spacious dining room and living room
- wrap around porch you'll want to spend days enjoying
- stunning ocean views on three sides
- short walk to the ocean, good for exploring and some swimming / snorkeling
- the island has endless beaches within easy driving distance
- don't miss the barbecue stands on the main roads on the weekends (great price on tasty BBQ ribs and chicken)
- snacks, junk food and general groceries aren't cheap on the island, so plan ahead
Each member of the family loved Villa Dulcinea. You'll return rested and have a long list of favorite beaches!

This is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Pristine beaches, crystal clear water, a continuous, warm, gentle breeze. I spent hours snorkeling, surface diving for sand dollars. A sea turtle crossed my path and I followed it for several minutes.
My wife and I stayed for a week with some friends. With four huge bedrooms (each with it's own bathroom!) thew house can accommodate several guests very comfortably. It is spacious, beautiful, and very peaceful. There's an enormous porch on all four sides of the house, where you can sip rum and read trashy paperbacks, or star up into the crisp night sky and name constellations.
One tip: pack snacks and dry food to bring with you. There's definitely places to buy food, but since almost everything needs to be imported, many grocery items are a bit more expensive. Stuff some granola bars and whatnot in your checked bag.
That said, you can eat fresh caught fish very reasonably at a number of really cool spots on the Island. And the price is right on mixed drinks.
I really can't think of anything negative to say about this rental. We'll definitely go again.
I have spent two summers at villa dulcinea and have loved my time there. The space is open and airy with beautiful accommodations. To be honest, you will spend 3/4 of your time on the vast, wrap-around porch watching sunrises over coffee, reading books after a day at the beach and then sunset cocktails out there as well. It is a water-front view, although not a close walk to one of the tourist beaches. You need a vehicle for sure! I can't wait to go back!
