Stayed here for two nights with kids. Brilliant atmosphere. Staff was very helpful. Ample breakfast variety. Cosy room. Parking available. Dinner was very tasty as well. Nice and clean hotel. There’s a pebble beach very nearby. Very highly recommended.

Hotel is conveniently located to the Abbey. Unfortunately first room offered smelled unpleasant but reception and housekeeping quickly relocated us to another room. Room was clean but it felt like stepping back in time with the furniture. Bed was extremely comfortable. Initial room low number located around central grassed quad, the room we stayed in adjacent block. Able to park the car right outside. We found all the staff friendly and polite. Breakfast was poor with limited cereal and juices and not even near the end of service. Full English OK portion but not good quality sausage or bacon. Grilled tomato had not seen the grill! Overall for one night stay we had a good night sleep and the price was fair to include breakfast.

Room Tip: room with windows not patio door for night time ventialtion.

Booked a twin room for a one night stay to attend a party locally.
The room was clean.
The beds were comfy.
Breakfast included which was a selection of cereals, drinks and hot breakfast from menu. We had a full english and toast which was a good sized portion.

The only negatives were that our room backed onto the courtyard and we couldnt open the french doors to let air in so just had to leave the front door open whislt getting ready due to hot weather.
The shower was quite small with a shower curtain that, as my friend put it, "attacked you from all angles" haha
The tv didnt have many channels and signal kept going. We did mention it to a member of staff later on in the evening and he apologised and said he could have retuned it if we told him so that was nice.

However, plenty of parking and a great price especially with breakfast included.
I would stay there again :-)

Myself and 7 other cyclists from my local club stayed here the night before the annual CtS event. This is an endurance event where the aim is to ride from the East coast (Minster on Sea) to the West coast (Burnham-on-Sea) in one day between sunrise and sunset. This year's event was attended by over 550 riders so accommodation is always at a premium so the hotel was working at capacity. Despite this, the hotel staff could not have been more accommodating. There was specially prepared healthy and nutritious food prepared for the evening meal on the night before, packed lunches if required and pots of instant porridge for breakfast provided in the rooms. As the weather was fantastic, the bar and courtyard area was packed with thirsty cyclists and their support/families etc. The hotel coped admirably and the bar staff maintained a friendly and helpful face all evening. Although we didn't make much use of the hotel's facilities, we did have a briefing in the upstairs room which had its own bar a looked perfect for private functions.
My only criticism would be the showers in the rooms were a little 'compact' and the beds were not the comfiest which, given the fact we were in them for only a few hours wasn't to much of an issue.

Room was clean but everything in room was very worn
We stoped so we could watch the world cup game TV only worked for 5 mins
Went and asked reception if they could look at it was tould they would come but would probably be 30mins this was at 6pm asked again at 7pm was tould they would be round soon gave up waiting at 11pm
Very noisy room could listen to the tv next door and they did not have it very loud
Complain when we left that no one had come round and the lady could not care less would not return and woul not recommend staying
