We loved every moment of our stay at Cape Byron Retreat! The place is absolutely serene.
We were warmly welcomed with an early check in.
Due to a confusion with booking.com we also received complimentary breakfast which made a really big difference on of the rainiest days in Byron! Thanks for having us!

Hi Natasha, thank you for your review. We always endeavour to create early check-ins for our guests. As for the confusion over breakfast? I love cooking and you enjoy food. I guess it was meant to be...Regards, Marty & Nikki

This stay was beautiful and tranquil. Stayed here for several nights on a holiday. The view was stunning and the main house was elegant. The service was amazing. The proximity to the centre Byron Bay was also great as it allowed you to be in the busy town when you wanted to but also to escape when needed. I will definitely be returning.

Hi and thank you for your review. Marta has certainly done an excellent job with this property. She is a masterful interior decorator and a very talented gardener. She appreciates the finer things in life. And, obviously, so do you. Enjoy your day, Marty & Nikki

This certainly met and exceeded our expectations of a 'retreat'. The location is far enough away from the centre of Byron Bay, while being close enough to get right into town with ease, even at the peak of holidays.

The resort is only small, making it very peaceful and quiet. This also means you have a lot of privacy and easy access to the facilities, even at a busy time of year. The service from management and housekeeping was of a very high standard and with a really personal touch. Always around to help and have a good yarn, while giving you space to feel like you are alone.

My wife and I (reluctantly) left there feeling so relaxed. I can't say that for a lot of other places we have stayed in the past, so I thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone looking to disconnect from their day to day life and to take in the wonderful Byron surroundings.

Hi Daydream, thank you so much for your kind words. You really captured the essence of what our owner, Marta, had in mind when she took on this property. It's a lot of work but our clients make it well worth it. Hopefully we see you in the future. Regards, Marty & Nikki

This stay was nothing short of perfect. Felt secluded engulfed in some of Australia's beautiful nature (Studly the Peacock). With that said, the place was immaculate. Whether it was sundowners in the many beautiful areas on the premises or a quick few km drive to the city/beach there was something to explore/do for everyone.

I can't say enough about Cape Byron Retreat it's worth every penny and more! Local homemade breakfast, over and above staff that cares, and the suggestions of food/what to do near and how to do it from Marty. I'm convinced it can't be beat.

And no I was paid to write this (i realized how much I'm raving). Honestly, it's rare to meet people running the show as well as Marty and Nicki do. It's rare to feel secluded/peaceful and close to the action at the same time. We stayed for 8 days and loved every second. We then pushed on to Melbourne and Auckland which gave us even more appreciation for this gem.

If you are looking for holiday whether it's for peace, active, romantic, nature, or pure adventure Cape Byron is your place.

P.S. Byron has some to of the best food we had in AU/NZ.

Ah the Mavericks? An appropriate pseudonym indeed. Thank you for your kind words. It was lovely hosting you on our property. The peacocks miss you and so do we. Best of luck in your married life. Although in truth, good people make their own luck. Peace and love, Marty & Nikki
