The island is a sanctuary for fish and corals. There is fantastic snorkelling, make sure you go out to the drop off, about 50 metres from the shore. There you will find a large variety of fishes. There is a basic shp that sells coffee, coke, rice and cooked pork. There are toilets on the island. There is an entrance fee and charges for the use of tables and such.

This is the very first island I ever explored. It's so small you can walk around the island in less than an hour. You'll see the island folks doing their daily duties while strolling around, in our case, we saw them harvesting sea urchins. We love snorkelling in this place. Aesome view underwater. Residents are very friendly.

We were at a resort for lunch and the Canadian guy told us about it. My girlfriend do not snorkel but I met some people there and they got us to go in the water. It was amazing and so close to shore. The beach around the island is perfect and clean and the people very helpful and friendly. We went for just two hours but stayed almost the whole day. It costs extra for the boat if you stay longer but well worth it!

Very nice small island off Mahinog town covered with fine white sands and natural vegetation. Nipa huts, cottages, and tables are available for day tour rentals. Food is not readily available. The island has mini forest providing shades and shelter from the elements. The old trees in there and the trail are worth exploring. On the one hand, the sea surrounding the island has numerous corals good for snorkeling and diving. Boating and snorkeling can be arranged with security personnel / local tourism officer manning the area. Various fish species can be seen underwater. The water is clean and blueish clear except in the western side of the island where cultured sea weeds abound. A number of families allegedly migrated from Bohol inhabit the island and established a small community in the island. They engage in sea weed and fishing for a living. Unfortunately, this community is a bit of concern for guests visiting the island. Mantigue is a natural reserve and protected area - a fish sanctuary and tourist destination - that needs to be kept from exploitation of local residents. Concerns about cleanliness and security of the area are among top priorities. Had the local government gets full control of the island, Mantigue possesses great potential as top tourist attraction in Camiguin. With careful studies and master planning, Mantigue can be developed into complete tourism island destination come with good accommodation, resorts, restobars, souvenir shops, adventure rides, parks & playground, and water sports facilities plus the natural gems of the island; mini forest, corals, fish sanctuary, and a stretch of white sand beach for picnic and swimming.

What a beautiful little island. Only a 30 minute bangka trip from the main island of Camiguin. Great for snorkelling. White coral sand and clear water surrounds. Cafe/restaurant facilities a bit disappointing.
