“Best Place Less The Sun”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

White Island is a pure white-sand islet off Yumbing in Camiguin Philippines. There's no vegetation, trees, hut nor single cottage to shelter from the sun.The fine white sand is comparable to great beaches anywhere else while the surrounding water is clean from greenish to blueish crystal clear. The view is awesome and swimming is such an enjoyable experience. There's much fun taking pictures, having playful games with friends, enjoying food and drinks, even just walking barefoot on the sand or simply resting on the shore. The best time to get there is early in the morning before sun rises or late afternoon before the sun sets. The place is scorching hot when the sun is up even with beach umbrellas available for rent; the heat is intense and dehydrating.
Getting there is easy. Boats are available in Barangay Yumbing in the capital town of Mambajao. You have to register at the berthing area near Paras Beach Resort, pay 450 pesos two-way boat rides good for up to 6 persons and you go ... it is only about 15 minutes ride going there. Don't bring cellphones, laptop or valuables that might get destroyed when wet but never forget your camera, sun block, swim wear, hat or umbrella, and food & drinks.

“Very Romantic”

This is a place that you should'nt missed..its very nice and a perfect place for lovers. You can see the beautiful scenery of MT Hibok Hibok at the back as the background while enjoying the blue water and the white sand shape in Letter C.It will be best to be there early in the morning and late in the afternoon when the sun is low. All you need to do is to pay for 420 pesos for a ride back and forth to White Island. There are no cottages available. So better be there and dont missed it.

“Low tide and early morning for best view!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

This little Island is actually a sandbar. No trees so it's best to go there eary in the morning or late afternoon. It has a nice view of Mt. Hibok-hibok and a letter C shape during low tide. There are few mini stores within the Island but I don't know how much they charge. The water is clear blue and good for swimming just be sure to bring your sunblock.I had my first taste of sea urchin.I didn't know it could be eaten but yes it is.We dipped it in a spicy vinegar.I don't know if the vendor stays in the Island the whole day.You may want to try it too.

“MUST TRY 100%”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

I only have an HR to enjoy this but it was all worth it. If you are staying by the beach side they can pick you up at an additional fee of P50.00 on top of the P420 boat fee and P 20 pesos environment fee. Be sure to visit this island.
