Agur winery is a butique winery, located on an Israeli wine trail at road 385- Haella vally- about 30 minutes drive fromI Israel highway 1(Shaar hgay exit). We visited there this week and spent whole 2 hours with wine maker Shuki Yashuv tasting fine red wines, some , outstanding, and discussing wine, and life. Most recomended 02-9995423.

We were just at Agur last week, and really the wines are great. The rose is the equal of the fine roses of Provence, and the red wine blends were equally good. We had quite a good time chatting with the proprietor Shuki, who believes that meeting the owner is part of the experience. At the end I told him his wines were at least as good if not in some cases better than you find at good wineries in Napa.

We came to visit our friend Shuki, the man who makes this wonderful wine, and as usual, the planned short visit became an interesting long talk about life, love, friendship and everything else , of course over a few glasses of wine . This time we drank Rosa, the rose wine with light smoky color that came out great this year. This is how it goes with Shuki and we love him for that. May we have the privilege to come to Agur winery for many more times and years to come!!

Thank you so much. Your visits and support are my raison d'etre, without which there wouldn't be enough reason to grow and produce fine wine.

We thoroughly enjoyed going to this boutique winery where Shuki, the wine maker, greets you, introduces you to his wines, and talks about his life. Truly a memorable experience, and if you're traveling from outside of Israel, leave room in your suitcase for some of his excellent wines!

A highly recommended place if you are in the region! We went to Agur winery from Jerusalem and it worth the 40 mn travel.
Shuki the winemaker received us and explain us about the region, his wines and his vision of the profession, while answering all our questions.
The place itself is simply splendid: the winery is situated in front of the vineyard and is surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
The wines are really tasty and special- both the rose, and the red wines. Each of them has a particular personality and reveal its own different story to the visitor, if you know to listen...
