“JWB and ALB review”

As has been previously said this resort is tip top . There are a few issues with where you can eat your takeaway food and noise which have been raised before but in a nutshell these are just minor irritations . The shop will me most people's needs , if you need something else this can be obtained in the neighbouring town of Cambrills . The pool and gym are good and you can have a relaxing beer or 4 at the pool side bar . There are 2 nightclubs on site one for the younger teens and the other for the older teens and adults , the latter does not start rocking until 3 am and finishes around 6 am .
The train does pass through the middle of the campsite around 5+ times a day but its fully enclosed and after a while you don't notice it . One of the best I have stayed at . We have signed up for another dose in 2014 !

Just returned from a fantastic two weeks in Playa Montroig. We were recommended this location by Friends so our expectations were high. The site was very well managed and the staff worked very hard to maintain very high standards across all areas of the restaurants, leisure facilities and the amenities.

The new pool complex kept our two girls, 7&9 entertained for the two weeks. The life guards were very present and ran a tight ship to ensure the safety of everyone. The shop was well stocked with provisions with a fresh meat counter, cheese counter and a dedicated fish shop there was everything you need to survive. The beach side cocktail bar was excellent as were the restaurant and grill.

For me I wanted to see a little more of the local area, it was well serviced by local buses and local taxi companies however I did resort to hiring a car to reach a little further to Tarragona 30 mins and Barcelona 90 mins away. The park and a local firm called Happy Car Rentals provided an excellent drop off and return service for the car.

Having stayed in nearby Cambrils previously I would say it was comparable in terms of quality of accommodation but you need to make the choice of being located very close to the beach or being lcoated close to the bars and restaurants of near by Salou or even Cambrils port which is a lovely area.

Great site for a switch off and a relaxing break, for those looking for peace and quiet ideal, for those looking to use it as a base to a more active and lively holiday I would suggest Cambrils is the alternative if Costa Daurada is where you would like to go.

Room Tip: The mobile homes are based on avenues, eurocamp are introducing a Zoning scheme, Londres and Brussel...

We stayed in a 3 bed mobile home with Keycamp. Im so pleased we had air con, it is a definite must !! The park is very nice, maintained to a very high standard, and everywhere is clean and tidy. They have people clean the pool every night. The two restaurants on site are good and the food is of a good standard, as is the take away shop on site. There is a large shop and a mini supermarket, that sell anything you could need if you want to cook yourselves. There is evening entertainment on the stage, which were tribute singers, there is a large seating area so you can watch and it has waitress service. There is a park behind for the children as well. One evening before the entertainment had started around dinner time, before it got busy, we sat at the table near to the park to eat our take away(burgers and chips) and was told we could'nt eat there when we were half way through eating. There were 4 other tables full, so the place was empty, so this was a bit annoying as there were no sign's anywhere. If you want to eat in the grill, do make sure you book as it does full up quickly. There is a lovely courtyard garden next to the grill, which is perfect for quiet cocktails. Be prepared to walk a lot ! our mobile home was the other end of the site to the beach, shop, main restaurant and stage, we did'nt mind a bit. Train track is not an issue at all. Was a bit disappointed with the on site beach as it was dirty and stoney. It is worth going to the towns near by, and also visiting the other beaches. We also took a train to Barcelona for the day as my son wanted to visit the football ground. Just be vigilant for the pick pockets !! i saw one in action behind someone getting of the train. Would go there again and we really liked the pools, had a real tropical feel with all the palm tree's around. All in all a great holiday.

We stayed from 3rd to 13th August with Keycamp. The resort is very clean but they could do with some sunbeds on the beach and around the pool area as it is not very nice lying on the grass all day being pestered by ants! We were surprised that there were no restaurants to get a cooked breakfast on site - I'm sure if they were to introduce this they would make a fortune!
We had a problem with the hot water in our Keycamp caravan which was never sorted the whole time we were there - lots of promises of a new boiler being fitted but never materialised!
Don't bother paying for the internet access in your accommodation - 14.90 euros for a week - it is painfully slow! It is quicker to either pay as and when in the internet café or go to the Terrasa restaurant where access is free.

We had a lovely week at this resort.
We stayed with keycamp in their top grade of accommodation and it was so much more spacious than other properties of this type we've stayed in.
Flew in to Reus airport, picked up a car and were at the resort within an hour of landing, so easy. Check in was very smooth.
Park is beautifully maintained, lovely pools that weren't crowded though we were there in UK term time so that may have contributed to the park being nice and calm. Couldn't fault the restaurant or the shop but having a car we drove to Carrefour for a big shop.
The beach was lovely and calm, a nice walk through the trees.
No reason to fault this site at all. I'm sure one day we'll be back.

Booked through Keycamp, flew into Reus and had organised car hire before travelling so all very straightforward. Campsite was great and the Keycamp/Eurocamp reps were helpful. We liked the layout of the accommodation particularly along the "streets" as it meant that you could get to meet your neighbours if you wanted to. The facilities were excellent with a really good on site supermarket and the best patisserie we have come across in our 18 years of "keycamping".
The site was immaculate and the ground staff worked very hard. We didn't use the onsite restaurants so cannot comment on some of the negative observations about those.
It was great being able to walk down to the beach and my husband and son really enjoyed swimming out to the pontoon.
The train track through the site really was not a problem at all and was hardly noticeable.
The only minor criticism was sometimes the noise at night with people chatting on the decks or returning from the bars was a bit of a pain (though it wasn't every night). It would be helpful if the campsite would enforce the no noise after 23.45 rule a bit more effectively. Would definitely book again.

We stayed here from July 15th until July 29th and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked through keycamp & stayed in a Villagrand 3 bed. We where 3 adults, 2 children & an infant. Our main concern was if the travel cot would fit in the double room. Keycamp staff in cork said it would not but when we put the lockers under the bed and pushed the bed right up to the wall it was all good. It was tight but for the amount of time we spent in there with our eyes closed it was perfect.

The several pools & slides where a very short stroll 50-200 metres from all the keycamp mobiles & the beech a little further but only about 10 min stroll through spotless the site. We spect most morning at the beach as it was a little cooler & then the afternoon by the pool. There where a few playgrounds dotted around the site which was great & also a little bar & ice cream shop in the middle of the keycamp section which was very handy.

The evening entertainment was very funny the 1 night that we went, but it was on just a little to late (10.30pm) so we gave it a miss for the rest of the holiday. The bouncy castles & mini disco where perfect for the younger ones. We did not visit the Espai Grill which was the restaurant at the front of the site as we found for the few times we did eat out that "The Terrasa" beside the supermarket was perfect & the food & service was always excellent & value for money for an on site restaurant was brilliant.

One of the nights we did get takeaway pizza with another family & instead of going back to the mobile we sat in the terrasa bar area to eat the pizza & have a few drinks from their bar. Sadly we where told that we where not allowed eat in this bar even though it was a very large open seating area & we would have bought a good few drinks between the families. Thats is probably why this are was very quiet at this time.

The supermarket was well stocked & price wise it was good. We did not have a hire car so used this for all of our shopping.

Cambrillis was a short taxi ride away and on 1 night we did go in for dinner which was very nice but it was very busy.

There was no Keycamp kids club only an onsite one which in the past on other sites has been fantatsic but unfortunatly I would not have left my kids alone at this one. The staff where excelent but with only 2 staff members & no sign in or sign out I would only use it as an activity place with a parent.

Overall I would recommend this site & I would go back also!!!!!
