We stayed here for four days and we loved it! The only thing that bugged us a little is the very slow internet. With that said, the food is amazing! There are very many people but since the resort is very big, you hardly notice it!

Fantastic resort in Siquior, probabily the best ! We had a deluxe room (Coco lodge room 3) with seaside view. We would certainly go back there !!! Everything you need is here : lovely pools, quiet beach with houserif for snorkeling, very very very friendly service at the restaurant !

First negative experience we had was how difficult it was to schedule a booking. We tried calling their numbers several times and no answer. Sent them an email and they replied after a few days, same goes with their Facebook account. This was the first time we've experienced it and to think this was highly reviewed so we expected more professionalism and excellent customer service. Our second experience was when we had our lunch at their restaurant. I ordered a meal with chicken and rice for my sun and spaghetti and Coconut juice for me. Mind you, their prices were too expensive so anyway we went ahead since we trusted the reviews in TripAdvisor right, goes again. I was deeply shocked and unfortunately, it was too late for me to realize that my son was having a hard time with the rice. My wife tried to slice it but it was hard and almost like it was made of plastic. WTH! It would have been forgivable if it was mine or my wife's food but my son is a different story. The spaghetti was overcooked, pasta was sloppy and we tasted better ones that weren't as expensive. Coconut juice wasn't even cooled. They have impressive amenities like their pool but other resorts have one too and they cheaper compared to this. This place isn't worth the hype at all. We'll visit Siquijor but will totally avoid this resort.

We do apologized if our office was remiss in answering your inquiries properly and have streamlined our system accordingly so we should not be having booking problems in the future.
We believed that you were naturally unhappy with our resort as you booked into accommodation elsewhere and that subsequently you were not really able to give an unbiased review of the services provided by our Sunset Restaurant.
Let us state that our restaurant food is not expensive with our prices ranging from $3-$9. You also stated that the coconut juice was not cooled, it had just been harvested from our own coconut trees and as fresh as you will ever get. You could easily have asked for some ice cubes if the taste did not suit you. If ever you had a problem with the rice and had mentioned it at the time we would have immediately replaced it, the same goes applies to your other dishes. We are here to give our guests the best possible and satisfying service.
In summary, your review really does not give an accurate account of our Sunset Restaurant and Coco Grove Resort, both in food satisfaction and the services provided. We are also sad that you could not enjoy our amenities and services.

From the moment they drove us to the boat till they received us back in Dumaguete, it is first class all the way. They were there in their aircon van to drive us to Coco Grove from the port, the front staff is beyond friendly and helpful, the porter got our bags to our room, and the view was breath taking. The meals and the entire cooking and serving crew are beyond first class. Take in all the live shows, you will not be disappointed. The sunsets are gorgeous, we rented motor bikes and drove around the island, don't miss the seashell museum/store in Bitaug, unknown secret on the main hwy. Our room was great. Clean, and cleaned everyday like the first day. I celebrated my birthday there and Roselio and his team went so far beyond unbelievable. Totally a 5 star resort and every one from ground crew to top are friendly. Already planning for next year, so I can hear there words, welcome home sir and mam!!!😍😎

Important information should be noticed three times
When we stayed, the building next to the construction site, was under construction, which greatly affected the mood. But this is not the worst. At 0 o'clock in the middle of the night, the island has been out of power, so this resort's generators started to run, and the location of the generator is actually next to our room! ! ! In the middle of the night, the rumble is ringing around your room! Hahaha, you can imagine that couldn't be more terrible.
I found their front desk staff at the time, hoping to solve the noise problem, but it didn't help, the staff thougt the nosie is not a problem. his attitude was rude. On that night, we could only endure the noise until falling asleep at 4am before.
The next day I found the staff again. The first time, she told me that there was no room to replace. I didn't agree and insisted on solving this problem. After more than ten minutes, she told me that it was ok, and that the room farther away from this area could be replaced. There is no sincere service attitude.
The problem was solved, but it was still a bad vacation experience. A resort hotel, just making a friendly gesture on the surface is very simple, but you put the generator next to the house, the employees avoid the problem, do not admit the problem, the attitude is rude, it is really terrible.

LET US PLEASE STATE THE FACTS ABOUT YOUR REVIEW.
Around 12:30 in the morning of January 30th, 2019 the resort experienced a brown-out lasting approximately one & a half hours.
You were staying in Casa Coco, you went to the front desk as the generator disturbed you. The on-duty Bellman explained to you that the brown-out shouldn’t last long, and offered to transfer you to another area (Mango Lodge) if you would like to move.
You became abusive, shouting and even threatened him with violence when he refused to switch off the generator.
Please understand that he could not do as you demanded as the safety and comfort of all our guests would have been compromised.
Our staff were never rude to you even as you were acting in a most aggressive manner.
You also stated “The generator is actually next to our room.”
No, not true again, the generator is actually over 32 meters from the nearest room in Casa Coco Hotel. It is also interesting to note that although we were fully booked we did not receive a single complaint from any of our other guests.
We do thank you for visiting us, but please understand we are always doing our best to make our guests comfortable and experience a pleasant and memorable stay with us.
